TBOTE 46 ☠

"Well I'm alive." Eren sighed and smiled faintly at his two babies. "Aren't they adorable?"

Mikasa smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I can't wait to see what they look like when they're older."

Eren nodded. "Hopefully they're immune now from my genes. We'll have to get a blood sample, and the babies need their shots. They could get sick even now. The chance is higher."

Mikasa nodded and went to wake up Armin and Hanji.

The two instantly went to Eren's bedside, happy to see him awake.

"Eren!" Armin smiled and pecked his cheek. The blonde no longer knew where they stood. It was obvious Eren and Armin were no longer together, but Armin didn't want to accept that.

Eren smiled and leaned down to kiss Ryder and Kari's heads. "I can't get over how could these two are. I'm so happy to see they're healthy."

Armin nodded and smiled. "Yes. They're happy and healthy."

"Are you sure you feel alright Eren?
Can I see the stitches?" Hanji asked a bit concerned.

Eren rested the babies against the bed and lifted his shirt up. "They're fine."

Eren didn't want to admit it, but he was in horrible pain.

"Eren now is not the time to lie. If it hurts, tell me." Hanji frowned and moved the twins to their nursery crib. Instead of separating them she put them together.

The two cuddled close and fell asleep.

Hanji studied the stitches closely. "Eren. I need to know how you feel. 1-10. One not bad and ten excruciating."

Eren nodded. "Eleven."

"So you are in pain, I'll try to get you some meds." Hanji ran out to the supply area and dug around for medication. Most of it was taken by Grisha and the doctors that left.

Hanji walked back with a panicked look on her face. "Your dad took almost everything."

Eren sighed and frowned.

"Hanji!" The walkie talkie beeped, it was Erwin.

"Yes?"

"We're trying to hold off the guys at the gate, I think you should escape through the back."

Hanji sighed quietly. "Eren isn't in good condition. He just had a c-section and got stitched up raw. He felt it all."

"You need to leave. The hospital isn't safe anymore!" Erwin yelled as gunshots could be heard in the background. "Just leave!" The line went dead, causing Hanji to grab a bag and start shoving things the twins would need from the closet in the bag.

"We have to leave now." Hanji said frantically as she packed. "Where's Levi? Somebody go get him!"

"I'm right here." Levi walked in, rolling his eyes. "I've been outside of the door the whole time idiots." He grumbled and grabbed the bag with the baby supplies.

Levi walked over to the crib and picked up the cuddling babies. "Ready to run?" He said quietly as the twins stirred in their deep sleep.

"Armin and Mikasa, you're in charge of Eren. You need to carry him and make sure he's safe." Hanji said as she did a sweep of the room for anymore useful things they could use. "I'll guard with the gun I have, Levi will run with the babies."

Eren sat up slowly and was lifted by Armin and Mikasa. His vision was blurry, he could barely focus.

Armin and Mikasa pulled Eren gently with no problem as Levi followed behind. He wrapped his jacket around the twins just below their shoulders to keep them hidden.

Hanji led with her gun drawn, her finger brushed the trigger.

They group managed to escape out to the back, all they had left was the forest.

"I don't think we should have a problem with running into infected. I haven't seen one in months." Levi called out to Hanji and started rocking Ryder. The baby boy cried loudly.

No matter how far out and gone Eren's mind was, his head instantly snapped towards where Levi was walking with Ryder. "He's hungry." Eren mumbled before closing his eyes lightly. "If we don't feed him he'll cry louder and attract attention we don't want."

Levi sighed and kneeled down. He handed Kari to Armin as he made a bottle for Ryder in under ten seconds.

He put the bottle to his lips and started feeding him. Ryder's eyes drooped at the edges as they closed slowly, the bottle comforting him instantly.

"Give me Ryder." Eren held his arms out and took the baby from Levi. He finished feeding him as Armin and Mikasa carried Eren again.

Levi took Kari from Armin and held her to his chest as he walked.

Hanji turned and put a finger to her lips as she heard a twig snap. She motioned for the group to get back as she positioned her gun towards the source of the sound.

She jumped from behind the tree, ready to shoot but quickly stopped when she saw Jean, Marco and Erwin.

"Ah, you guys." Hanji took a breath of relief.

"So..these are the twins?" Jean asked as he watched Ryder's tiny fist wrap around his finger.

"No. They're infected babies." Levi rolled his eyes. "Of course these are the twins you idiot."

Levi sat against a tree with Kari resting on his lap, napping.

(Does anyone else see the adorable attachment he has to Kari? cx)

Ryder stuck close to Eren, liking being able to rest against the boy's chest.

@book_binder asked- "Armin and Mikasa, would you two be together if you really thought about it? Would you consider it?"

Armin and Mikasa exchanged a weird look. Mikasa answered first. "Uh I guess if I really thought about it. I'm not really into relationships though." Armin shrugged. "I guess so. Although Mikasa seems like a sister to me." Mikasa gave Armin a small half smile. "You're not over Eren though." Armin raised an eyebrow and glared at Mikasa playfully. "Shh."

@LeslieIsABunny asked- "Eren, are you happy you had gotten pregnant with Levi, or would you rather it be someone else?"

Eren smiled lightly. "Well at first I wasn't sure about this. I didn't think a baby could be brought up in the apocalypse but it worked out-- and I even had twins. I am happy now. Even though so much has happened I really love Levi and couldn't have it any other way."
