Elle caught him staring at her when she unknowingly picked up the hat that fell off the grass. Their
eyes were locked for a few seconds but Kerr immediately withdrew his gaze. She also noticed how
quiet he was. There's a certain kind of sadness in his eyes that he couldn't hide from Elle.
When they dropped off Elle at the condo, Charlene let Kerr walked her to the door. Elle was so
surprised when Kerr addressed her.
"Elle, I might not get this chance again and I know that this is inappropriate knowing our past history
but I want you to know that if I can turn back the clock in exchange for my life, I will do it... just to
prevent what I did to you in the past.
Did she see tears forming in his eyes?
'' I'm really sorry for breaking your heart years ago. There's no day in my life after we broke up that I
did not regret what I did to you and what it caused you. So now seeing you happy again is the
happiest of my life. You deserve to be this happy Elle. ''
He kissed her on the cheek and said:
"Goodbye Elle and take care. May you be happy forever."
He walked away before she can respond and left her confused with her own feelings and
overwhelmed by what he just said. She did not see the tears that fell from his eyes.
