General POV

After knocking on Alison's front door for what felt like forever, Emily decided to just get in the back way.

She jumped the fence and to her luck, the back door was wide open.

She walked in with a smile on her face.

"Alison!?" She called, her voice echoed throughout the big house.

No answer.

She looked around the house for a while until she finally found Alison asleep on the couch n the living room. She would've looked very cozy, all wrapped up in a blanket. But half of her body was hanging off the couch, and she was still wearing her glasses that were slowly sliding off the bridge of her nose.

Emily tilted her head in admiration as she watched Alison sleep in such an uncomfortable position. she was definitely going to have a crook in her neck when she woke up.

She plucked the glasses off of Alison's face and placed them on the coffee table.

Now that the glasses were out of the way, Emily noticed how red and puffy Alison's eyes looked.

Had she been crying? Emily asked herself.

She scooped Alison up in her arms and carried her up to the bedroom.

She gently laid Alison down on the bed, then crawled in herself and wrapped her arms around Alison.

Alison quickly reacted by snuggling up to Emily.

Emily smiled and kissed her temple, then sank back into her pillow and slowly drifted off to sleep.

~~~
"Good morning, babe." Alison said as Emily's eyes fluttered open.
Emily stretched out her arms and looked around.
"Is it morning already?" She asked in a raspy morning voice.
"Mhm" Alison leaned up lightly pecked Emily's lips.
"Can I ask you something?" Emily asked softly.
"Anything." Alison said softly.
"Last night, when I got here, it looked like you had been crying. Were you?"
Yes, yes she was.
"No," She lied. "Why would I be crying?" She gave Em a small, fake smile.
"I don't know, why would you be crying?" Emily asked.
"I wasn't." She lied again.
"I feel like you're not telling me something."
Just that I'm pregnant, Alison thought.
"Have I ever kept anything from you?"
Emily nodded. "... Yes, I believe there was a point where you kissed your ex."
"Well, I'm not keeping anything from you now." Alison tried to sound as genuine as she could.
Emily stared at her for a while before nodding.
"Okay," She breathed. "Promise?"
Alison hesitated for a moment.
"Yeah," She smiled and nodded. "Promise."
