Chapter 53

** Darcy's P.O.V. **

"What are you doing here Darcy?" JJ asked emotionlessly

"I think it's time we put the past behind us Jennifer" I said sternly

She sighed as she stood back a little

"Come in" she said quietly

I entered her house and followed JJ to the kitchen. We sat down at the table, the tension was unbearable so I decided to get the ball rolling.

"Look Jennifer, the way I left things, it wasn't fair of me, I was stupid and childish and we should have sorted things out sooner, it's been too long Jaydge" I said sadly

"Darcy I don't know what I'm supposed to say to you, you've been gone so long without a word, I know what I did was wrong but Spencer was so alone and I was having a bad time and he just made everything easier. But he left Darcy and he wasn't coming back yet you still couldn't bear to look at me!" JJ said exasperated

"I know JJ, I was so so stupid, our friendship meant the world to me and I threw it away over some silly mistake, but I want to start over JJ, I want to see you again, I want to have our late night conversations about the world and everything in it, I want your hugs when things go wrong and your advice when I'm lost, I just need you JJ" I admitted quietly

Her steel emotions changed to that of sadness as she looked at me. If she wasn't going to try I sure as hell was going to make sure I got her back in my life. After what felt like forever she finally decided to answer.

"You're right Darce, and now I'm being stupid by sitting here" she said as she stood and I met her movements as we stood in the middle of the floor and JJ brought me into her warm embrace

"I missed you Darcy Blake" she mumbled into my shoulder

"I missed you too Jennifer Jareau" I said as we stood back and laughed

"I'm so sorry Darcy, for everything, I'm the reason this happened and I should have been honest with you from the start" JJ hung her head

"Jaydge, forget about it! It's in the past and we can move on now" I smiled as we left the room and walked to her living room and settled into the sofa

"Speaking of moving on" she started "what's up with you and Aaron? I heard you guys moved to New York!" she looked at me quizzically

"Yeah about that" I sighed

"Oh! Is it bad?" JJ asked

"Actually Jaydge, Hotch proposed to me yesterday" I said blasé

"WHAT?!" JJ said in shock "and what did you say" she laughed in shock

"I told him I had to think about it and that I needed to come here to clear things up first" I shrugged

"Darcy Blake I will never truly understand you, you know that?" she laughed

"What?" I laughed

"Do you love him?" she asked turning serious

"Yes, of course I do!" I replied

"Well then what's there to think about? You guys have been through so much together, you know everything there is to know about each other and you've helped each other through some of the most horrific and challenging obstacles there is to face! You need to go home and marry that man Darcy" JJ urged

"You're right!" I said in realisation

"When am I ever wrong Darce" she joked

"Will you come with me?" I asked innocently

"To your wedding?" she asked

"Well it's not really a wedding, we're just going to the marriage office, it's no big deal but we need a witness and I'd really like for you to be by my side, the way it always has been" I smiled

"Oh Darce I'd love to" she smiled hugely as she leaned over and hugged me tightly

"Let me call Hotch" I said excitedly as I took out my phone and dialled his number

"Darce?" He answered immediately

"Hey Aaron" I said happily

"What's up Darce?" he asked concerned

"Let's get married tomorrow Aaron" I beamed
