Chapter 19

** Jacob's P.O.V. **  

"No Kelsey, this can't be right! Where did you find this?" I stood up with shock flooding my face 

"It was in the F.B.I's confidential files Jacob! We need to sort this out" Kelsey replied firmly 

"With who? You'll get in trouble if you tell them you've kept a confidential file AND you showed it to me!" I replied incredulously trying to understand everything that was happening 

"It's your right to know Jacob! They shouldn't have kept this from you" Kelsey said raising her voice as she stood up and grabbed her car keys from the coffee table 

"We're going to talk to Mr Hotchner" Kelsey said as she grabbed my hand and led me out the door to her car 

I had no idea where she was taking me but I did not protest. I was curious to find out the truth from my mother's boss, I want to find out what really happened 

We pulled up outside a huge premises, Kelsey told me it was Quantico, the F.B.I's headquarters. I followed her into the building, past security clearance and up the elevator where we stepped into a large room with desks scattered around. She led me up to an office with a large brass plate screwed on that said Aaron Hotchner. I could tell this guy was important. 

"Mr Hotchner" Kelsey said knocking on his door "we need to talk" 

"No problem Kelsey, come in" he called sternly from his desk 

"Who is this?" He questioned as he lifted his head from his paperwork 

"Mr Hotchner, this is...." Kelsey started but for some reason wanted me to finish 

"I'm Jacob Donovon sir" I replied expecting a reaction but Mr Hotchner's face remained blank 

"Jacob Blake sir, his name is Jacob Blake" Kelsey said  

And it was like his whole world came to catastrophic stop. He stared blankly for a moment then his face dropped in disbelief 

"And we know about his mother Darcy" Kelsey finished

** Reid's P.O.V **  

"Well done on an excellent case yesterday Ms Jareau" I whispered as I snuck up behind JJ and hugged her from behind 

She left a soft gasp as she turned to look at me 

"Spence" she half whispered half squealed, trying not to draw attention as we snuck off to hide in the locker room 

No one in work knew about us, except for Hotch that is, but I decided to ignore him. If he's planning on sending me away with the C.I.A then I'm going to enjoy these next few days with JJ as much as I possibly can 

"Where have you been?" she questioned as she locked the door behind us 

"I had to talk to Hotch about some training I'm going to start soon" I lied as best I could 

"Well tell Mr Hotchner that he can't have you" she giggled "I almost didn't survive that last case without you by my side" she smiled as she drew closer to me 

I pulled her in closer to me as I wrapped my arms around her waist 

"I heard you did a pretty good job Ms Jennifer" I smiled as I pulled her in for a long lingering kiss 

"I missed you" she whispered 

"I missed you too" I sighed as I placed my forehead on hers 

"Are you ok Spencer?" she asked concerned as she released herself from my grip "you look pretty beat" she finished 

"Uhh you know long meetings about these unnecessary training courses aren't really my thing" I lied again 

"You should go home and get some rest" she smiled lovingly as she kissed my cheek softly 

"Yea I think that's a good idea" I yawned as I kissed her back gently and gave her one last hug before we left the room 

"Do you want me to come with you Spencer?" she asked as we walked towards the elevator 

"No I'll be fine, I just need some sleep" I smiled as best I could 

"Love you" she whispered as she turned to walk away  

"Love you too" I whispered as I entered the elevator  

I drove home and grabbed some food on the way. When I got into the house I lit the fire in the living room and settled down beside it. Just as I was drifting off the doorbell rang. I wasn't expecting anyone. Probably JJ come to check up on me. That girl didn't know when to give up, I smirked to myself. I heaved my body off the chair and walked out to the door. 

When I opened it I saw a familiar face, it certainly wasn't JJ. My heart almost stopped. I stood there in utter shock, I didn't know how to react 

"Darcy?" I whispered 

"Hi Spencer" she smiled
