Chapter 3

Oh no. Why?

I didn’t hate One Direction, but I wasn’t a huge fan. I’ve listened to their songs and seen some of the videos on YouTube, but I wouldn’t say I was a “Directioner” as they say.

The doctor and the nurse left us in the room by ourselves. 

I looked around at all the 5 boys looking at me. Their eyes were all watery. 

“I-I’m f-fine.” I could only studder out.

A boy with a bald hair was first to speak to me, “I’m Liam and this is Harry, Louis, Niall and Zayn.” He pointed to the boys. “By the looks of things you don’t look really good.” 

I looked down at my arms and legs. They had needles sticking out of my arms and many cuts and bruises on them. I started to cry. This was all my Dad’s fault, if he had been a loving father like other fathers this would of never happened. 

“Don’t cry love.” Harry told me. 

“I’m really sorry for hitting you with my van.” Louis said.

“It’s okay.” I replied with half a smile and half a worried smile. 

After talking for about 30 minutes, the boys left and told me that they would be back tomorrow. I then started to worry about something else. My Father. What am I going to do when I get out of hospital? Maybe I could tell the boys about why I ran across the road. 

With all the horrible thoughts of my Father in my head, I drifted off to sleep.  

Louis’ POV 

After leaving the hospital, I felt really bad about what has happened to Ruby in the last few days. I thought I could maybe just maybe make it up to her. Maybe I could get her some gifts to say I’m sorry for what I have done. I called my beautiful girlfriend, Eleanor. I dialed her number and on the third ring she answered. 

“Hey El. I need some help with something.” I asked her over the phone.

“Hey Lou. Of course! What is it?” She asked me.

I hadn’t told her about the accident yet. I had to own up to it sooner or later.

“Well, about 4 days ago the boys and I were driving home from one of our concerts and I wasn’t watching the road and I kinda hit a young girl who had tripped over.”

“LOU! Why didn’t you tell me?”

“I was in shock and I was worried about your reaction to the situation.”

“Oh okay then.”

“I need to get her some gifts to tell her I’m sorry.”

“Leave it to me. I know the way to a girls heart Lou. I’ll see you this afternoon.”

“Thanks babe.” 

After 5 hours after talking to Eleanor. She stopped by mine and Harry’s place and dropped off the gifts. She had wrapped them, so I couldn’t see them. 

“I am coming with you and the boys tomorrow to see this girl.” El said sternly. 

“Okay.” I replied back.  

Ruby’s POV

I woke to still be in the white room and with that one window. 

I wondered what today would bring. Maybe the boyswould come and see me again or even worse my Father. I hope he doesn’t come and see me. 

A few hours passed, when the boys came back. This time they brought with them some girl and a few gifts. I unwrapped the gifts. There was some make up, nail polish and a iPhone. 

“Hey love. How’s everything going?” Liam asked me.

“Fine. How are you guys going?” 

“Good.” They all replied at once.

“Sorry, but who are you?” I asked this girl who had brunette hair and brown eyes.

“I am Eleanor, Louis’s girlfriend. You must be Ruby Jones. I have heard a lot about you from the boys.” She told me, as she looked at the boys. 

After 2 hours of talking to Eleanor and the boys, they left me all alone. As I was drifting off to sleep, I heard someone step into my room and close the door. I opened to see my Father.

“Well, hello there Ruby.”
