Chapter 40

Harry’s POV

My beautiful daughter has been gone for a day now. I don’t know what to do. Louis has been spending lots of time with me. I’ve been sleeping in Ruby’s bed, her clothes are still everywhere. I can feel her presence with me. I still am unsure how she died. 

Flashback.

“Harry, just let her go.” Niall cried, as he pulled me away. Her lifeless body just lay there. Her face was pale, but her lips pink. Her blonde hair perfectly tied up. The Nurse shut the door, so we couldn’t see her anymore. I just stood there. Waiting. I could see from the corner of my eye, the others turning up. I ran straight into Louis and cried. This was my fault. She wasn’t suppose to die. She was still young. 17. 

Flashback over.

“Harry? Someone would like to see you.” Liam spoke quietly. I could hear him lightly say behind the bedroom door. I rubbed my hand through my curls and he opened the door. Kristin was with him. Liam shut the door, leaving myself and Kristin alone.

“Hello Harry. I’m sorry about Ruby.” She whispered. I could tell she was nervous. I nodded.

“Look I’m sorry for everything. I feel terrible. First, I tell you I’m cheating on you and then you lose Ruby. I know you probably don’t want to see me, but I just wanted to say sorry. Sorry for everything.” 

“I don’t think I can forgive you. I can’t forgive myself. I lost Ruby because of us. She was my daughter, my angel, and my love. It’s both of our faults that I lost her. When you came to see me, Ruby told you to go away and I yelled at her. She took off with my car. Just leave me alone Kristin. I don’t want to see you.” I spoke harshly.

“Come on Harry. Let’s talk about this.” 

“LEAVE ME ALONE!” I shouted at the top of my lungs.

Kristin left with a sad face and tears streaming down her face.

3 days later......

Today. Is. The. Day. We. Say. Goodbye.

The boys literally had to drag me out of bed. I don’t want to say goodbye. Everyone is going. I just hope the fans won’t turn up, they should be respectful. Mum was already here, she was helping me with cleaning up Ruby’s bedroom. I’m going to live with her for a little bit since I’m a mess and all. 

“You ready mate?” Zayn asked me. I nodded. We were all dressed in black suits. Not Mum or the girls. They were wearing black dresses. We climbed into the limo and drove towards the funeral where Ruby was already. I had to say a speech, which I was nervous about. Mum was coming up with me to say.

The limo came to a halt and we all came out. Fans were screaming and crying. They are so dumb for turning up. It’s a private family thing and they ruin it.

It was just me, Mum, Gemma, the lads, the girls and Pattie. I wanted a small funeral. 

“Today, we have come together to say goodbye to Ruby Styles. She was a lovely girl who died only a few weeks ago. I would like to invite Mr Harry Styles and Ms Anne Cox to say a speech.” Some random spoke.

I stood up, my legs felt like jelly. I had to do this for Ruby.

“Ruby. She was my daughter who was very strong. I adopted her a few months ago. It was after Lou ran over her. She was the most beautiful’s girl. I loved her, not in a boyfriend girlfriend way but a father daughter way. We went through lots of problems together. I know that we never see her again, but I know that she is looking upon us. She will make the sun come out and the rain go away. I’m going to miss her with all my heart. She could never be replaced. I........ Ruby?” I spoke looking the door behind everyone sitting down. I turned to Mum, her mouth wide open. 

Ruby walked towards the front and spoke.

“I’m back.”

What the heck?
