"What do you want to eat, Garroth?" Aphmau smiled, looking back down at the menu in front of her.
"Um, anything." I shrug, and she shakes her head disapprovingly.
"You have to choose something! Don't care that I'm paying." She says, shoving the menu in my face.
"A-Aphmau, I can't read." I stutter, and she immediately takes away the menu.
"Sorry, I forgot. Do you want a burger?" She asks, and I shrug.
"Come on, Garroth. I'm paying for everything, but you have to make important descisions today." She huffs, and I smile; rolling my eyes.
"Fine, tell me what burgers there are, and I'll choose." I lean forward in my chair and she grins, looking back down at the menu.
"Phoenix Classic, Droppin' Low, Fierce Flames, Magick Layers." She reads out, and I push a hand through my hair.
"Phoenix Classic." I say, and she nods, writing a "1" on a small piece of paper with a pencil. The paper had everything written on it, meant to be given to the waiter or waitress so they can get the orders.
"Fries or nah?" She asks, and I nod. She writes another "1".
"Okay, I ticked mine already. Ready?" She smiles at me, and I smile and nod back. She waves over a waiter and gives the paper to him, and he writes down some notes and leaves.
"So... Oh! I brought my polaroid camera so we can take a picture when we get your new glasses; since you don't have many pictures." She smiles, and I smile. I knew what a polaroid was, because my brother had millions of pictures with some of his friends all strewn across his desk.
So messy.
The glass door to enter the restaurant opens, and the very familiar sight of brown hair and blue eyes enter, along with his posse.
He looks in my direction and scowls, and through the blurriness I can see him plotting something with his gang. He sits a distance away from me and Aphmau, and I get quite scared.
Aphmau must realise my sudden fear because she places her left hand on mine; which is on the table.
"Garroth, don't worry about them. They're idiots." Aphmau shook her head, and I nodded in agreement.
"Let's just enjoy our time, okay?" She grins, and I smile.
"O-Okay." I manage to say, and she grabs my hand of the table and holds it comfortingly.
I feel a sense of warmth, but I'm not sure why.

"Thank you!" Aphmau smiles at the waiter who brings us our food. I feel a pan of jealously hit me, but it subsides as she quickly picks up her burger and bites down into it, leaving sauce all around her mouth.
I laugh, and she smiles even more, and I take a tissue and wipe away the sauce. She makes a muffled laugh through the food in her mouth, and I smile.
"Come on, eat faster so we can go get your glasses." She swallows down her food and I roll my eyes, taking my burger.
"I thought we're supposed to be discussing our project?" I laugh before taking a bite out of my burger. She rolls her eyes and swallows her food.
"Shh, now we have to go shopping for you. You need new stuff." She smiles, putting down her burger and taking a french fry.
I smile and roll my eyes, watching her smile and enjoy the food so much.
I look over at Laurance and he's constantly giving me evil glances, when I feel a hand turn my head and I'm looking straight into hazel eyes.
"Hey, don't care about them, alright?" She smiles, leaning back in her chair.
"Alright, fine."

"So I was thinking, we could kinda talk about how heroic it was when Tedward stopped the car to save Nutella Swan?" She smiled, and I looked down at the girl. Her black hair was now tied up into a pony tail, and she had taken off her jacket, revealing her purple tanktop beneath.
"Okay. By the way, where are we going again?" I ask.
"The Drop Mall, it's the biggest mall in Phoenix Drop. I've been there multiple times." She says excitedly, and I smile.
"So, do you have any fears?" She asks, trying to make small talk.
"Uh, losing the ones close to me, because they're so difficult to obtain." I say, and she nods.
"Understandable. I don't like thunder, it just scares me." She shrugs, and I nod.
"It's okay, maybe one day you'll realise it isn't all that scary." I say, and she smiles.
"I see it in the distance, come on." She walks faster, her purple backpack bouncing on her back.
I walked faster as well, as a big building came into view.
It had glistening glass panels all around, showing the inside. It had a flat roof with several people on the top overlooking the town, and it looked rather empty for a mall; since it was a Thursday.
Aphmau and I walked to the entrance and we stepped inside, a strong gust of air conditioning blowing into my face.
"Okay now we need to go get you glasses. Come on, I know the perfect place." She grins, grabbing my wrist and pulling me along. The world is in a blur, but for some reason I know she won't hurt me in anyway.
It's Aphmau, and Aphmau hardly hurts anyone.
