"So, Garroth. You have a girlfriend now?" My father took one step towards me, and I took one step back.
Zane walked away from the cowarding Aphmau - thank Irene - and next to my father. He pulled out his dagger.
"Y-Yes." I say as bravely as I can, but it still comes out as a stammer.
"You believe in love now? How quaint." Garte said in a deeper, more threatening voice.
I give a curt nod before backing up into the wall, with nowhere to run.
Suddenly, the door opens, and Zoey, Malachi and Levin are there.
"Aphmau? Garroth?" Zoey started to panic, seeing as I was stuck to a wall and Aphmau was frozen in place.
"Leaf Garr Garr alone!" Levin waddled towards Zane, and he and my father turned around.
I lifted my leg and kicked my brother in the back, and he landed on his stomach beside Levin. I bent down and shielded Levin's eyes, and kicked my brother in the head to make him unconcious.
Zoey came over and brought Levin away, next to Malachi. Aphmau looked extremely helpless and I could tell she wanted to help, but she couldn't find anyway.
Her expression made my heart ache.
"Your brother was a twat anyway. Time to take you home, Slave." My father turned back around and this time he was closer. The sound of him cracking his knuckles sent a shiver down my spine, and I started backing away again.
"I-I-I..." I stutter, tears threatening to spill out of my eyes.
I don't want to go back.
I escaped that prison.
I'm not going back.
I suddenly raise my fist and punch my father across the face, and his hands flying to his cheek in pain.
"You little bastard!" He yelled and pushed me to the ground, and kicking me in the ribs. I heard a soft crack, and soon excruciating pain could be felt.
He proceeded to continue kicking me, then lifted me up and slammed my body against the wall, and did it several times, only to be followed by multiple punches to the face. He dropped me back down onto the floor after awhile and started kicking me again.
He continued until someone pulled him away, screaming.
"STOP IT! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Aphmau screamed, tear stains covering her cheeks, her hazel eyes filled with heartbreak.
"And what would you know, little girl?" He turns his attention to her, his blue eyes burning with fury.
"I know that you're a douché." She says before punching him, and he looks shocked, yet infuriated.
I know what he's about to do next and I look around frantically from my unmovable position from the floor. I reach for the stool leg in front of me.
Aphmau moves away, and I use all my strength to lift it up and hurl it at my father.
It knocks him in the head, and he falls to the floor in a large thud.
Aphmau immediately rushed over to me.
"Oh my Irene, Garroth. N-Not again..." She trailed, lifting up my shirt, looking at all the bruises and cuts from my father's kicking.
"C-Can you move?" Her bottom lip began to quiver, her eyes glossy with tears threatening to spill out at any given moment.
"I-I don't think so. I-I-It really really hurts." I stammer, feeling a sudden sharp pain in my side, presumably where the broken rib is.
"We should put him on a bed before examining him. I imagine being on the floor with aching pain all over your body isn't the best feeling in the world." Zoey said, shielding Malachi and Levin's eyes from the gruesome sight that was my broken and beaten body.
"Your lip's bleeding, you have a few bruises on your face, and oh dear..." Aphmau cried, tears streaming down her face.
"Let's move him to a more comfortable place." Zoey said, and Aphmau nodded.

"Ow." Aphmau pressed onto my rib, and I felt another sharp pain, like someone was jabbing a knife into my side.
"I got rid of Garroth's brother and father. Garroth told me that we can't call the police because his family has a big name in this city among the government, won't believe a word." Zoey walked into the room, wincing when she saw my torso.
"Garroth, can I ask you a question?" Aphmau asks, while cleaning up my wounds.
"You just did, but go ahead." I laugh, but it hurt.
"Where did this necklace come from? Your father knew what it was and he-"
"I know. My mother gave it to me before the accident. She told me to give it to the girl I loved. So I did." I say, and Aphmau blushes, dabbing my face gently with the wet cloth to wipe up any existing blood, and cleaning my cut lip. Zoey closes both her eyes and exhales, and walks out the door.
"Oh." Aphmau says simply, and ends it there.
"Do you know how painful it is to watch the person you love get beaten up by his own father?"She asks, and I shake my head gently.
But I do know what it's like to watch the person you love nearly get killed by their own brother.
Terrifying.
