The beacon of salvation brightly illuminated the strangely dim world. Despite it now being the daytime, the world appeared dim and dark as if even the sun had now given up on this empty and lonely world. The remaining survivors were now flocking towards the silver light in hopes of finding the salvation that they sought for. One of those groups was Shadow and the girls. They were packing supplies for their last trip but…the feeling of uneasiness was in the air. Luxe was zipping up a pack and sighed
“you feeling uneasy too” he turned to see Shadow standing against the door
“yeah I guess so” Shadow stepped through the door “It’s just…I’m going to miss this place. It’s genuinely the first place that felt like a home”
“I know what you mean. For me it’s worry”
“What do you mean?”
“well…Zodiac said that all the remaining people are coming. I suppose it’s not necessarily the people coming but…the number I guess”
“What do you mean?” Shadow’s tone dropped slightly
“Do you remember what I said about…us being the only ones left? I…kinda don’t want it to be true”
Luxe saw him with his head hung and his hand tense but open as he spoke in a quiet voice “I just…I guess I just…” Luxe stepped forward and took his hand
“hey it’s okay. We’ve come a long way since we started” Sophia was in the hallway
“I know. I guess…I just don’t wanna think we’re the only ones left.” Sophia made a gesturing movement with her hands
“Personally…I think it could be…rather romantic” said Luxe blushing
“how did you come to that conclusion?” said Shadow slightly confused, Luxe looked behind him to see Sophia nodding
“well…it means” he leaned closer to his ear “if we have a moment…they are…less people to interrupt us” Shadow recoiled backwards to see Luxe give a rather cute face making him
turn red with the faint smell of steam coming from his head
“yeah I mean…it would be romantic if we” Sophia was quietly giggling “…no-no I mean your right, no-one could interrupt us-uh um I’m going to check on the girls” he said shifting backwards “to see if…they are alright” but as he turned round he felt a soft and warm sensation engulf his face. His vision went dark but then he heard a voice
“You should watch out where you’re going” Shadow felt a surge of embarrassment “now take a step backwards” Shadow did that but his vision was still obscured “now a another, then look up” he did that and found Sophia with a smiling face “were you and Luxe having a moment when I wasn’t looking?” his face went red as a beetroot “oh…” she said bending forward “aren’t you adorable?” she kissed his forehead “When you pull that face I can’t resist. Or…would you rather have Luxe do that for you?” Shadow simply then fell backwards to the floor.
Sophia looked at Shadow to see him giving him a blank face, with a red face and visible steam “I didn’t think it would work out that well”
“neither did I” said Luxe blushing
“I suppose that shows how much he likes you” he looked at Shadow still on the floor “you know…I’m quite thankful I met him. He helps us forget the mess we’re in”
