The Baby Project

Chapter Seven

I walked into my health and social care to see Kyle sitting near my seat.

"Why are near my seat?" I asked really confused to why he was there.

"Well let just say are you ready to be a mother for a month?" Kyle says with smirk on his face.

I sit and curse under breathe. I had completely forgot. Argh.

Kyle laughs.

"No,you?" I reply back

"Nope" Kyle says leaning back in his chair.

We start the lesson. We get given a mix-race baby.

Apparently it monitor everything we do. And we have a bag full stuff.

I don't even know how they expect us to pass this. I don't know anything about Babies. Well we.

The teacher said the babies where sleeping for now so we were okay for now.

"So what are we going to name it?" I asked Kyle.

"I dunno,what's the gender?" He asked

"Erm,it's wearing pink for the sake of it " I say to him.

"Okay, call it Melissa for now." He replied

"Fine Melissa it is" I said then turn to look at the toy baby.

I had just finished my Lunch and so did Kyle. We where outside and the baby started crying.

"What do we do ?" I asked

"I don't know!" Kyle says raising his voice a bit.

Hold her I say giving him the baby.

I take out a milk bottle and place it in her mouth.

"Not bad for my first time."  I say shocked

"Yeah yeah why not rub it in." Kyle says
Still holding Melissa as I feed her. After feeding I burp her and she fell a sleep again. we put her back in the pram.

I head off to find Liz.

"Where you going ?" Kyle questioned

"To find my best friend " I reply while starting to push the buggy.

"Oh okay " Kyle says shrugging his shoulders Kyle follows me.

I find Liz with Logan.
Yes,I know weird. Apparently Logan beg the teacher. But I don't believe that.

"Hey"she say happily.

"Your is asleep too" I say pointing to the baby in the buggy.

"Yep,so stressful" she reply.

"Logan this is Leigh." Christina said

"Kyle this is Christina." I repeat

"Hey Christina, want to hang out sometime?" Kyle says with a wink.
I jab my Elbow in to Kyle's side. "Ouch"

Kyle say giving me a stare.

"Sorry I'm taken "Christina say grabbing Logan hand to show him she wasn't lying.

"Cool, sorry mate" Kyle said

"It's okay" Logan replied in an unsure tone of voice.

After talking to them. Me and Kyle leave to go to our last lesson.

"Really I introduce you to my bestie and your already hitting on her!" I say.

I stop and turn to Kyle.

Kyle halts as well.

"Well.."I say

"Well..sorry" " it's not my fault your friend sexy just like you."he winked.

He toke the pram and headed down the hall. Leaving me standing there.

I muttered "jerk"

"Where going to late if don't hurry up" Kyle shouts.

"So.."I say trying to catch.

"hurry up!" Kyle says a little annoyed

I roll my eyes"we are already late"I say

Kyle stops at the door and gives me the buggy. He pull his hand though his hair.

We both enter the classroom together.

"Sorry sir we are late" I say and take a seat.

People turn to look at us and whispering to each other.
Kyle just sit next to me.

With his arm around my shoulders. I wasn't bothered about it really.

After the lesson I left the classroom.

"Who's looking after the baby?"I questioned

"We both are, you take Melissa tonight and then stay at mine tomorrow." Kyle suggested

"Okay, I ask my parents if you can stay at mine." I respond

We walk in silence. "Want a ride home?" Kyle offered.

"Yh,thanks." I say as we head to his car

We stuffed the baby in the back seat and put the buggy in the boot.
