I'm getting ready to go to my parents house and I decide to wear all black,it was May but it was cool today. One of my cousins I haven't seen in a while was gonna be there so I was excited. Zahir walks in the room with a shocked expression.
"What?" I laugh
"You,Ma,and uncle Christian were on trial for murder?" He asks
I nearly choke on my spit,how did he find out.
"I was on Twitter and it said this day 17 years ago Model Ciara,Actress Nicki Minaj,and Producer DJ Wavy go on trial for self defense,I click on the link and it said uncle Christian stabbed him to death" He says
"Wow,umm,yea" I say
"Did the guy try to stab y'all first or something?" He asks
"We'll talk about that another time" I say
"You ready?" I ask
"Yea" He says
I get in the car with the kids and head over to my parents house. My dad told me Nicki was coming and everyone else. Comes to find out the dinner turned into a cookout. We pull up to the house and all you hear is music. We get out and walk to the backyard,I spot my parents at a table with my grandma,Michael,Chyna,one of my aunts,one of my other cousins,and Nicki. This gonna be lowkey awkward,I was gon tell em anyway. I hug my parents,grandma,my other cousin,and aunt before going over to Michael and nudging him.
"What's up cuz" He laughs
"Hey young Kobe" I smirk
"You be knowing" He says
"Always" I say
"Hey Chyna" I say while hugging her
"Hey Ci" She says
I glance past Nicki and I start to feel weird. I haven't physically seen her in 2 days and it's really hard. I go look for my other favorite cousin and I see her talking to her mom.
"May May!" I say while hugging her tightly
"I missed you!" She says while spinning us
Maya is one of my favorite cousins! Her,me,and Michael were a clique growing up.
"Hi Auntie" I say while hugging her mom
"Hey baby,how you been?" She asks
"Good" I say
"Let's get Michael and prank somebody like we used to" She laughs
"Ok" I smirk
"Y'all ain't right for that" Her mom laughs
Maya chuckles and we go and get him. I notice Christian and Tyla by my parents and my dad flags me down. I walk over to him and he pulls me aside.
"You and Nicki ok?" He asks
I sigh and look him in his eyes.
"We're getting divorced" I say
"Princess why?" He asks
"I'll tell you before I leave" I say softly
"Ok,don't forget" He says
I nod my head and we go in the house,there were people in here too so we had to be lowkey.
"Hey Ciara" I hear a familiar voice say
I turn around and see Bryson Tiller.
"Hey Bryson" I say while hugging him
What is he doing here though? He daps up Michael and Michael gives me the same look. Just as I'm about to ask him how he knows my parents he hugs Maya like they know each other.
"Hold the fuck up,B,how you know my parents and Maya?" I ask quickly
"Your parents? This my Aunt and Uncle house and Maya my cousin" He says
I nearly pass out as he says this.
"Maya's me and Tyga's cousin,this is my parents house" I say shocked
"Y'all don't know?" Maya asks
"Know what?" Michael asks
"Bryson's our cousin" She smiles
"He's what?!" I yell
"Girl chill out,he's our cousin,Gina's son" She says
Gina is our other cousin.
"So all this time we were related and I had no idea" Bryson says slowly
"Shit,this is new" I say
"But how did we never know?" Michael asks
"He was always around us,so I don't know" She says
She shows us pictures of us when we were little and it's like a lightbulb lit up.
"That was you!?" I ask
"Yea" Bryson says
"I ain't know young T was you,deadass" Michael says
"Princess and Tiger" Bryson grins
"Shut up" I laugh
"Well,welcome to the family" He smirks
"Welcome to the family" Me and Michael say
What a shocker.
