I had a photoshoot today and Zahir was with me all day,non stop questions came from him.

"How did you and Ma meet?" He asks

I smile unknowingly and chuckle,that's like an instinct every time the subject is brought up.

"We met at the park when we were 5" I smile

"Really? That's cool" He says

"I met uncle August,your dad,uncle Christian,uncle Safaree,Aunt Tyla,and uncle Drake the same day" I say

"Wow" He says

"When did you guys start dating?" He asks

"Zahir you can ask all the questions you want after I'm done" I chuckles

"Ok mom" He says

When I'm done with the shoot,I change back into my regular clothes and we get in the car,as soon as I start driving he asks me the question again.

"We started dating when we were 24" I say

"How did y'all start dating?" He asks

"Baby it's a long story" I chuckle

"I wanna hear" He says

"Ok" I say

"Before we started dating,me and uncle J'Shawn were dating for 7 years-" He cuts me off

"Shut up! No way mom!" He says

"Yea" I say

"Wow" He says

"So,I started feeling some type of way every time I saw her,after a while it was a lot of feelings involved,when I found out she felt the same way I did it was like a dream come true,I didn't know how to break up with uncle J'Shawn and she didn't know how to break up with her boyfriend,soon,she got engaged and I made her choose,she chose me and a few days later we told them,and it was official" I say

"When did y'all get married?" He asks

"On our first anniversary" I say

I glance over at him and he has a smile on his face.

"Mom" He says

"Yes?" I ask

"Is this the first time this happened?" He asks

"First time what happened?" I ask

"That you guys are getting divorced" He says

"Zahir I-" He cuts me off

"This is the last question,I promise,I'm just curious cause it seems like a deeper problem" He says

"No,it's not the first time" I say

He looks at me with wondering eyes and I sigh.

"Before I was pregnant with you she did a major movie roll with an Actor,his name was Alan,they were talking a lot,she lied to me about a few things,when I was 5 months pregnant with you she started acting weird,she was really clingy and not herself,after you were born she told me she cheated on me twice with him when I was still pregnant,I wanted to get a divorce but after a few months I slowly started to forgive her after she pleaded and kept asking me to,after what happened with the whole knife thing we started talking about having Onara" I say

"So he's the guy that tried to hurt y'all?" He asks

"Yea" I say

"I'll ask about that some time later" He says

"Yea,you're done for the day" I say

"Don't let any of this change how you feel about her,she's still your mom too" I say

"I know" He says

I really miss her,I know she's apologizing and trying to talk to me but she doesn't know what the problem was that started this and that's not sitting well with me. I don't know what's gonna happen with us.
