Chapter 5 - Heartache

As I near the border of the forest I see Aidan, he came back for me.
"Hey, what's wrong" He asks concern laced in his voice.
"I found my mate" I answer, trying to pull myself together.
"Then why are you crying?"
"He rejected me, now let's go home"
"He did what! Who is it?!" Caleb comes running out of the pack house towards me.
"Cora come back, I didn't mean it like that" Aidan's eyebrows rise in surprise. "Caleb's your mate" I sniffle and nod. Caleb grabs my arm,
"come back" he says, I yank my arm free,
"don't touch me!" I yell. Aidan looks pissed,
"you rejected my sister?" He says so calmly that it scares me.
"Not in so many words" Caleb replies, Aidan explodes at him,
"then why is she crying!" He screams, "because I think she's too young to be a Luna, and as soon as I mark and claim her she's going to become the Luna and Aidan you know what the mate pull is like, one day I'm going to mark her and she's still going to be young, I don't want to take her childhood away from her. All I asked was that she stays with you just until she finishes school, until she's old enough to be a Luna" Aidan seems to understand but is still angry at him.
"Why? Why can't she stay here? Why can't you control yourself? You're a frekin' Alpha for goodness sakes"
"I wouldn't be able to stop myself from marking her if she went into heat. I don't want to see her in pain"
"Well guess what, its too late and whether you like it or not she's going to go into heat, whether you're around or not. I still can't believe my best friend is mates with my sister, my little sister." Suddenly Aidan punches Caleb in the face,
"I deserved that" he says. Yeah, he bloody well deserved it.
"I hate you Caleb Rhyes, and I hope I never see you again" I spit, this seemed to hurt him more than the punch, I continue,
"I Cora Rivers-" Aidan cuts me off, "Cora I know he was a dick but don't reject him"
"Why not!"
"Because he still loves you"
"No he doesn't" I cry again and run away. Aidan follows.

Caleb's P.O.V

I fall on to my knees, my head in my hands. How did I loose my mate and best friend on the same day. Can't she see I just want to protect her. She almost rejected me, I'm such a fool. I made my other half hate me, my wolf hates me too for loosing our mate. I'm sorry Cora, please forgive me. I feel a breathlessness overtake me, it hurts so much. I just lost a pack member, Cora! She switched packs, no!

Cora's P.O.V

By the time I reach home, I am no longer crying over him. "Make me a part of your pack" I demand, Aidan nods, he extends a claw and slices open my right palm and his right palm, "I Alpha Aidan Rivers of the Eclipse Pack except Cora Rivers into my pack, may this blood bondage join us" he says and combines our cut hands. Finally I'm a part of my brothers pack. Afterwards he takes me to see his son and my nephew. Kelsey is holding him in her arms staring in awe at her pup. Kelsey has dark almost black hair, blue eyes and fair skin. Kelsey notices me enter, "Cora, say hello to Henry your nephew" she passes me the pup,
"hello Henry" I say kissing his little forehead, he yawns and goes back to sleep I hand him back to his mother.

In the middle of the night Henry wakes up crying. Kelsey spends an hour trying to nurse him back to sleep,
"pass him to me" I say, Kelsey nods if to say 'thank you'. I rock him gently and he falls back to sleep.
"Looks like someone likes his Aunt" I smile at the little pup, I put him back in the bassinet.
"You're good with him" she says, "want any of your own?"
"Yeah, I want one or two"
"Just got to find your mate first" she looks over to her sleeping mate in the chair next to her. "Well... I found him, but he practically rejected me"
"Who?"
"Caleb"
"Caleb as in Aidan's best friend Caleb" I nod, "and he rejected you?"
"Not in so many words, he said that I was too young to be a Luna and that I should stay here until I finish school then I could move back because otherwise he couldn't control himself, but its okay, Aidan punched him in the face and I left his pack and joined yours" she looks at me with sympathy in her eyes,
"that sounds like Aidan, but it also sounds like Caleb's trying to protect you"
"I don't care, he could of at least accepted me, I thought he did?"
"What do you mean?"
"He, ah, kinda, kissed me" At that moment Aidan woke up,
"he kissed you!" He says in disbelief, "No. I disapprove of him"
"No one asked for you opinion" I say. "Cora I know him better than anyone, I know everything he's ever said or done, you don't wanna know where his mouth has been. I don't approve of you kissing him"
"You don't control me"
"Yes I do, I'm your Alpha." I growl at him. Why is he right.
"At least that's all you did... right?" I don't answer, "right?", I still don't respond, 'he saw me in my bra and then we were in his room and he almost marked me' I mind link Kelsey, she laughs,
"really?!" is her response. I blush slightly. Aidan walks toward me
"what are you doing?" I question, he pulls the rim of the hoodie to the sides inspecting the area around my collarbone,
"he didn't mark me, relax" I say shooing his hands away,
"this is his favorite hoodie" he says. Damnit I forgot about that,
"did you sleep with my best friend!"
"No" he gives me a look,
"no, God no"
"Then what happened that you won't tell me?" I don't say anything.
"I command you to tell me what you mind linked Kelsey" he says using his Alpha tone. I stare at him shocked, did he just command me. Staying quiet is getting harder and harder as his Alpha command is difficult to resist. We stare each other down. "I command you to-"
"Really Aidan is that really necessary?" Kelsey asks, "you didn't even ask me to tell you"
"Go ahead"
"It comes at a price"
"What price?"
"You must give me a kiss and say please"
"Is that it?"
"Yes" he leans down and kisses her passionately.
"Please tell me" he says,
"she went in his room that's all" he eyes me down, he knows she's lying.
"The truth Cora" not being able to resist the Alpha tone I blurt it all really fast, the words spewing out of my mouth, "after we kissed in the rain I went to change my clothes but I didn't have any sweaters so I went into your room in just a bra and jeans and he found me and offered me a jumper and so he gave me this hoodie and then he kissed me and one thing lead to another and he almost marked me then he broke my heart" both of them stare at me like I grew two heads.
"You were in his room in nothing but a bra and jeans?" I nod, oh no, I'm in trouble now.
