Chapter 14 - Double Dates

With the help of Kelsey I pick out an outfit. She picks a pink, long sleeved playsuit with black high heel wedges. Kelsey wears a tight white dress, that wraps around her body and has a triangle cut out to show a little cleavage with a choice of creme coloured high heel wedges. She helps me with my make up and hair. 8 o'clock rolls around, I grab my black clutch, Kelsey and I link arms,
"ready for your first date with your mate?" She asks excited. I reply nervously,
"nope"
Kelsey and I walk down the stairs with linked arms, our mates waiting for us at the bottom. Caleb is wearing caramel coloured skinny jeans, white t-shirt and a black, long sleeved, unbuttoned shirt. Aidan is wearing a similar outfit to Caleb but with black jeans, black shirt and dark green, long sleeved, unbuttoned shirt. I bite my bottom lip nervously. Caleb smiles at me, his dimples showing.
"You look beautiful" he says kissing my cheek.
"Thanks" I reply blushing.
"Alright let's go" Aidan says. We take separate cars. Caleb and I enter a pack car, Caleb is driving of course, I sit in shotgun next to him. He holds my hand with his free hand while he drives, occasionally glancing at me, a small smile on his handsome face. Music helps to fill the slightly awkward atmosphere. We pull up out the front of a classy restaurant called, 'Lé Bliss'. Caleb runs around and opens the car door for me. What a gentleman. He grabs my hand and we enter, followed by Aidan and Kelsey.
"How can I help you?" A skinny, snobby looking man dressed in a fancy suit, asks.
"Dinner reservations for Caleb Rhyes" Caleb replies.
"Party of four?" The waiter asks. Caleb nods,
"follow me" he leads us to a well dressed booth. Caleb slides into the booth and I slide in next to him. Aidan and Kelsey sit in front of us. The waiter hands us our menus and leaves. I pick up the menu and scan over it. 'What's wrong, you seem tense?' Caleb mind links me, gently squeezing my hand. 'I'm fine, just nervous, that's all', I reply, kissing him on the cheek. 'Don't be' he pulls me close to his side. The waiter comes back and takes drink orders. Aidan and Caleb order beer and Kelsey and I order a bottle of red wine to share. The waiter comes back with the drinks, he puts the bottle in front of me,
"well I'm going to need this to get through tonight" I say popping the cork.
"It's to share remember" Kelsey laughs. I feel myself begin to relax as they serve our food. Over dinner Aidan and Caleb tell stories of their teenage years making us all laugh, entertaining Kelsey and I.
After dinner we drive to a nearby drive in cinema. I was shocked to find out they still exist, apparently the city counsil runs it to raise money for community projects and causes. Tonight they are playing 'Friday The Thirteenth'
The movie begins and everyone in the crowd cheers. The foreboding music begins and the crowd silences.
"What's the bet that Aidan and Kelsey will be into it, 5 minutes into the movie?" Caleb says holding twenty dollars in between his index and middle finger.
"You're on" I say shaking hands with Caleb. I lay my head on Caleb's shoulder as he holds me close.
I sit up straight in my seat, my eyes not moving from the screen, I cling onto Caleb, he keeps an arm around me, obviously he and his wolf loving the attention. I tense up waiting for the jump scare, the music pitch increasing, I jump when the killer strikes, my heart thumping wildly in my chest. Caleb laughs at my childish fears and pulls me closer to him than I already am, making me feel safe.
"You owe me twenty dollars" I whisper in his ear as Aidan and Kelsey's car windows fog up. I snatch the money from his shirt pocket giggling.
"My turn" He whispers into my ear, his hot breath making my skin prickle. He presses his lips to mine, I deepen the kiss. The car windows begin to fog up from our hot breaths. Somehow we end up on the backseat, Caleb on top of me. He trails kisses down my neck from my lips. I have my arms snaked around his neck, my fingers in his soft hair.
"I think I love you Cora Rivers" he says gazing into my eyes,
"I think I love you too Caleb Rivers" I reply pressing our mouths together. I can feel Caleb's soft, warm hands on my hips, he slides his shirt off in one swift movement. Sparks and tingles travel up my body at my mates gentle touch. My wolf is going crazy with all the attention and love from our mate. Tapping on the backseat window stops all action. Caleb sits up annoyed as he winds down the window, just enough to fit his face.
"Guys, the movies over" Aidan says obviously finding this funny.
"We knew that" Caleb replies childishly.
"Sure you did" he smirks,
"come on" just as I pull the top half of my playsuit on, Aidan opens the car door. I stare at my brother like a deer caught in headlights. I blush a deep red. Aidan pinches the bridge of his nose,
"Caleb, put your shirt back on. Now. Please" he picks his shirt up off the car floor and smirks at my brother as he puts it back on. Caleb gets back into the drivers seat, I follow by sitting in the front of the car. We begin driving back to the pack house. As soon as we are out of hearing distance, Caleb and I crack up laughing,
"that was so embarrassing" I say. "Tell me about it he's my best friend"
We stop at a set of traffic lights. Caleb leans over and kisses me while its red, he does this for every red light on the way home and every time he does my heart skips a beat.
