Chapter 15 - Midnight Memories

Caleb's P.O.V

I walk Cora back to her room, she leans on her bedroom door, "Night beautiful" I say kissing her, our kiss becomes passionate. I open the bedroom door while kissing Cora still. As one we stumble into the room, I kick the door shut with my heel, and slip my shoes off. We lay down, her arms are wrapped around my neck, I have my arms around her waist, trailing kisses down her neck until I reach the spot where I will mark her, the spot in between her collarbone and shoulder blade. I kiss the spot,
"mark me" she whispers,
"are you sure?" I ask, she nods. I bite the spot marking my mate, she gasps at the sudden pain, then relaxes once I move my mouth back up to hers, deeply and passionately kissing her.

Cora's P.O.V

My eyelids flutter open. Strong arms are wrapped around my middle, Caleb holds me close to him.
"Good morning beautiful" he says, his morning voice husky and oh so sexy. "Good morning Mr Alpha" I reply back cheekily, he smiles and opens his eyes to look at me. I peck his lips, he smiles even wider, his dimples clearer than ever. I revel in the moment with my mate. My wolf is happy and content. "Are we officially mates now?" I question. He nods smiling, proud with himself, I chuckle, Alphas and their egos. This means I am now the Luna of the Starburst pack, wow what a promotion.
I attempt to sit up but Caleb pulls me back down again and hugs me tighter. "We need to get up but I don't wanna" I complain.
"Then don't" Caleb says kissing my lightly.
"But what if Aidan comes looking for me?"
"Let him"
"You do know Aidan's going to kill you when he finds out you mated me on his territory"
"I don't care. It'll be worth it" that sweet talk earns Caleb another kiss. "He's going to be able to tell regardless of the fact that he can see your mark or not or if he finds us. Our scents are mixed now" he reminds me.
A knock at the door forces me to get up. I throw Caleb's t-shirt on and answer the door. It's Aidan, what a shock. I open the door just enough to fit my body. "Aidan, hey" I say sleepily. "Hey-" his eyebrows furrow, oh no he noticed my scent change.
"Is Caleb with you? His scent is stronger here than usual"
"Ah yeah" I smile awkwardly.
"Okay, well Henry said you promised to play with him and he keeps bugging me to come wake you up"
"Okay, well tell him I'll be down soon and after I eat breakfast I'll play cars with him"
"I'll let him know" I smile and shut the door. I press my back to the door,
"that was close" I say, Caleb laughs. I take a shower and head downstairs for breakfast, Caleb is already sitting at the breakfast table with Aidan and Kelsey. Henry runs up to me and I sweep him up in my arms,
"Aunt Cora, Daddy said you said you would play cars with me" Henry says excitedly,
"yeah and I will but I have to have breakfast first, okay" I answer and kiss his forehead, putting him back down on the ground.
"Morning" I say cheerily, greeting everyone. Caleb pulls me to his side with one arm from his seat, I lean down slightly to kiss him. He pulls me onto his lap, I squeal as I partially fall, "Caleb" I laugh,
"don't" he hugs me around the waist, I sit on his lap sideways and grab a piece of toast off his plate,
"hey, that's mine" Caleb says half laughing as I take a bite from his breakfast, I giggle and continue to eat the piece of toast. The toast made me thirsty, so I grab Caleb's coffee and take a gulp of it, he takes it back from my hand and sips from it as he reads the newspaper off his phone. After breakfast I play cars with Henry like I promised. The whole time Caleb sits back watching, a smile of pride and admiration plastered on his face.

Over lunch Kelsey and I discuss plans for a girls night tonight in the city. I ask Caleb if I can go through the mind link, 'Caleb, Kelsey and I want to have a girls night tonight out in the city'
'Sure, but I want you to take a guard'
'But that defeats the purpose of a girls night'
'A female guard silly, Aidan does have those, right?'
'Yeah, there's a nice one named Sharon'
'Okay, have fun. Love you'
'Love you more'
Kelsey frowns,
"what's wrong?" I ask.
"Aidan won't let me go" she replies. "What do you mean, he won't let you go?"
"He said due to the attack and recent sightings of the rogues, he won't let me go"
"Even if we have Sharon?"
"Even if we have Sharon" I sigh.
"How about we just sneak out?"
"And how would we do that undetected?"
"There's a window in my room that you can climb out of and Caleb won't know because he still thinks you and I are allowed to go and you being the Luna can command your guards not to say anything and let you through because your the God damn Luna"
"Cora Rivers, you are a genius"
"I know"
"What time?"
"Meet me in my room at 7:30. You know how to drive don't you?"
"Yes of course I do"
"Lucky, Aidan would never teach me"
"Ask Caleb, I'm sure he would teach you"
"I'm sure he would too"
"Alright, I'll organize the nanny, grab some money and I'll meet you at your room at 7:30"
"7:30 it is" Kelsey and I part ways to begin organizing our great escape.
