Chapter 13 - Catch Ups

The sun hits my skin warming it. I lay down on a sunny hill propped up on my elbows, letting the sun warm and tan my skin. I used to sit up on this hill when I wanted to be alone or sometimes I would come here to just think. I had my first kiss with Jace on this hill, because his idea of making me feel better was to kiss me, it did make me feel better. I had stormed out on my brother, I wanted to go to a party off pack territory but he wouldn't let me and we got into an argument, harsh words were exchanged. Aidan sent Jace after me because he knew Jace was the only friend I trusted that was close to my age. Kelsey snaps me out of my reminiscing,
"what ya thinking about?" She asks sitting down next to me.
"My first kiss with Jace" I reply blushing slightly.
"You were his first kiss aw"
"Not just his first kiss"
"Wow, wow, wow, hold on. You've both lost your v - card and to each other?"
"I'm a 19 year old werewolf who thought she was never going to forgive her mate, of course I have"
"And you lost it to Jace. My Beta"
"Yeah, kinda, sorta"
"You slept with my Beta?!"
"And you slept with my brother"
"Touché" We laugh.
"Do you want to hold her?" Kelsey asks. I nod and sit up, she passes me her pup Cordelia who had been rolling around on the grass. I sit her on my lap facing me, supporting her head. She smiles a big toothless grin at me, I pull baby faces at her making her laugh. I sit her sideways on my lap so she can see her mother and hold her close to my chest placing a kiss on her small head, enjoying the feeling and smell of the soft, warm baby. I can see the field of werewolves playing football, including Caleb and Aidan. The boys come off the field for a water break.
"Let's go see Uncle Caleb" I say in a baby voice to Cordelia, I look to Kelsey for approval, she nods. I walk down the hill to Caleb. I kiss Cordelia's head again, babies are just so kissable.
"Look it's Uncle Caleb" I say walking towards Caleb.
"Hello" he says to Cordelia sweetly playing with her little hands. He gives me a kiss on the forehead and takes a sip of his bottle.

Caleb's P.O.V

I listen into Cora's conversation with Kelsey. I've never liked Jace and this gives me yet another reason to hate him.
"Aidan" I say, "Caleb" he replies. "I just found out Cora slept with your Beta"
"Yeah, she did" he replies surprisingly nonchalant.
"And you're okay with that"
"Its her love life"
"But you care about what Cora and I do"
"Yeah, because your my best friend and a lot older than her plus I know all your moves"

The football game takes a water break. Cora comes down to me with baby Cordelia in her arms. She is so good with kids, one day I hope to have a pup or three, an heir to the pack is a must. "Hello" I say to Cordelia, she smiles at me. I lean forward and kiss Cora's forehead.
"Aww, there's my baby girl" Aidan says stealing Cordelia from Cora, he kisses the pups head.
"Aww, now he's a double softy" I say.
"Caleb shut up, stop saying that" Aidan says through gritted teeth. I ignore Aidan and pull Cora towards me, planting a kiss on her lips. Cora puts her hands on my chest separating us, "mmhm, you smell terrible" she says screwing her face up.
"I will have you know, some girls find this attractive" I reply smartly.
"Which girls?" She asks her voice slightly angry.
"Ah, um, ah" I try to answer, Aidan laughs,
"no one. Anymore"
"That's what I thought" she replies sassily. I sling an arm across her shoulders,
"looks like we're going back on" Aidan says passing Cordelia to Kelsey. I lean down to kiss Cora again,
"Caleb-" she begins. "Shh, I know you love it" I say placing an index finger on her lips, kissing her again, this time she kisses back.
"Caleb come on, the games starting again" Aidan's Delta calls out, I only realises I'm the only one not on the field, all the werewolves, including an angry looking Aidan are watching Cora and I make out. With one last peck on the lips I leave Cora and head back onto the field,
"that was something I never ever wanted to see" Aidan says sounding disturbed.
"Well, get used to it future brother in-law" I smirk back.
"Ever call me that again and I will steal back my sister"
"You can try"

Cora's P.O.V

I walk back up onto my hill. I am joined by Jace,
"I can't believe you didn't even say hi" he smirks. I stand up and hug him. "How have you been?" I ask as we both sit down.
"I've been good. I found my mate" I gasp and hug him.
"Congratulations"
"Thank you" he smiles giddily.
"Who?"
"Amanda Page. She was a rogue, her pack was attacked and she was forced to become a rogue. Aidan almost wouldn't let her in the pack but after I threatened to leave and become rogue he agreed"
"So he should. Why aren't you out there with the rest of the boys?"
"I'm going on a date with Amanda in" he looks at his watch,
"45 minutes. Hey you and Caleb should come with us, make it a double date. That could be fun."
"Yeah, I'll mind link him"
'Caleb want to go on a double date?' I mind link. 'With who?' He replies. 'Jace and his mate'
'No. Absolutely not'
'Why not?'
'Because its Jace'
'He has a mate now'
'I don't care. You still slept with him'
'Excuse me? Where did you hear that? Were you listening in on Kelsey's and mines conversation. How dare you'
'I'm sorry'
'Yeah, you better be. Now can we go on a double date'
'Not with Jace, but I'll go with Aidan and Kelsey'
'Ask Aidan then'
"Sorry Jace, Caleb isn't no offense your biggest fan" I say sadly.
"I understand. I've got to go, it was nice seeing you again, oh and you need to swing by my room sometime tomorrow to meet my mate " he hugs me and leaves. 'Aidan says he and Kelsey are cool with going on a double date tonight'
'What time?'
'I'll pick you up at eight'
