4: Mine

Peeta's POV
I slam the trunk closed and roll my last suitcase into the bakery.
Rye comes out from the back. We do a bro hug.
"Hey little bro."
"Hey Rye." I say running a hand through my hair.
He laughs at me. "We are having a party tonight. And I need you there."
"Why?" I ask confused.
Rye smiles at me. "Just promise to make an appearance?"
I nod. "I promise."

Katniss POV
I stand in front of my mirror with a confused face. I'm trying to make sure the dress fits. Prim sighs from my bed.
"Katniss, it looks fine. Just do your hair and put in heels. Don't forget the purse too."
Laughing a little, I slide on the gold flats. My make up contains black mascara, gold eye shadow, and a light pink lip gloss. I pull my hair into a ponytail not in the mood to do anything. But Prim argues about my hair.
"Just leave it down!! Not up!!"
I sigh turning to her. "Prim, I love you but I know what I'm doing."
She giggles. "Well since I love you, I will stop arguing."
Prim gets up and I hug her. "Have fun tonight Katniss. Keep your eyes open."
I pull away from her. "Okay." I say totally confused.
I grab a black and gold purse to shove my phone and wallet in. Once it's shoved in, I sling it over my shoulder and say bye to Prim. Walking down the stairs, mom stands with a sad smile.
I ask, "Will you be okay?"
She nods smiling. "Yeah just go have fun. Eyes open Katniss."
I roll my eyes. "Why is everyone saying that?"
Mom laughs and I kiss her cheek. "Bye! See you tomorrow morning!"
"What I will see you tomorrow-"
I am interrupted by her shoving me out the door and slamming it shut. Sighing, I begin walking till I finally reach the party.
Music blasts out of speakers when I walk through the gate. Looking around, I spot Finnick and Johanna over by the drinks talking. I make my way over to the both of them.
"Hey." I say pouring myself water that hopefully hasn't been spiked.
Finn and Jo share a grin before turning to me.
"What?" I ask oblivious.
Jo smirks. "Annie is over there. She needs you."
I nod. "Thanks. See you guys later."
I walk towards Annie, who stands with Glimmer and Clove by the stage, until Finnick calls after me.
"Keep your eyes on look out!"
I groan and yell back, "Why is everyone saying that?!"
He just laughs as I finally reach Annie.
Annie squeal when she spots me. "Katniss! Your singing tonight!"
I groan. Can't argue with a pregnant woman.
"Fine." I sigh. Glimmer and Clove high five as Annie pushes me on stage. Music stops and I think of a song and start to sing.
