"So, Vicky, why'd you choose a bonfire?" I asked Victoria as we stood in the kitchen the same night. I looked over at her, her blonde hair was tumbling down her shoulders as she poured the marshmallows into a big bowl. She shrugged.

"I don't know." She said casually.

"Oh come on, Vick, if I was given a chance to ask for anything I would've asked for like a day on a yacht." Arianna chuckled.

"You know I hate boats." Victoria replied. "Besides, I wanted to just sit around a fire and sing Khumbaya." She chuckled. We all looked at her. "I'm joking!" she laughed. "God, okay, honestly I just wanted to do something chilled, not big, just simple." She shrugged.

"Since when does Victoria Eastwood keep it simple?" I chuckled.

"Okay, I think you guys should just shut up, yeah?" Victoria rolled her eyes. We finished prepping the stuff for the smores.

Since Victoria was leaving before the summer ended we thought it would be super nice if we let her choose an activity in which we would all participate in, and she chose a bonfire which was something I wasn't expecting from her.

"We got it going." Owen said, popping his head into the kitchen before retreating back outside.

"Okay, let's go." Arianna said taking the packets of cookies. We were the only three that were left in the house, or at least that's what I thought.

As we filed out of the kitchen, Victoria in front, followed by Arianna, a hand grabbed my arm. I turned around and it was Mason with a smirk on his lips. He led us back into the kitchen.

"I thought you were outside with the guys helping get the fire going." I hissed. He chuckled.

"Yeah, I was but I came back 'cause I wanted to talk to you." He replied.

"Kylie, come on!" I heard Arianna call. My eyes widened.

"I'll be there now. I just need to get some stuff, go on without me." I yelled back to her. When I heard the front door close I breathed easy again. "This is risky." I told Mason with a frown.

"Yeah, but I couldn't exactly find another time before tomorrow morning." He huffed. My brows furrowed.

"What's going on tomorrow morning?" I asked him.

"I don't wanna tell you just yet. It's a surprise." He smirked.

"Okay..." I smiled.

"So, all you have you to do tomorrow is meet me, nice and early." His blue eyes were sparkling with excitement.

"Okay," I repeated. "I'll be there."

"Good." He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. "I'll be waiting for you." He softly pressed his lips to mine and I smiled against his lips.

"Mmm, hands are roaming down south, Lieutenant Donavan." I said when I felt his hands slip into my back jean pockets.

"Since when do you know my rank?" Mason laughed.

"I don't, I just guessed." I admitted with a blush. Mason rolled his eyes before planting one last kiss on my lips.

"Let's go, before they all start getting all nosy." He chuckled. I got onto the tips of my toes to kiss him again. I ran my hands through his hair, purposefully messing it up. He smiled against my lips. "So juvenile." He chuckled. I just smirked and winked at him.

We left the house, keeping our hands to ourselves and headed to the beach where everyone was sitting around the fire. When I got closer I was able to see Mckenzie sitting on Connor's lap, she was comfortably resting her head on his shoulder.
