Beer was the main cause of Gilbert's problems at that particular time in his life.
But let's not get into that.
Let's get into that one morning. The one when his life took a turn for the better. 
He remembered it being cold when he woke up, a thick blanket over his body and an alluring warmth at his side.
He opened his eyes, turning his head to see what was emitting it. Just as he expected, it was a woman, short blonde hair running in curls on the back of her head. she was shirtless and Gilbert could see glasses on her nightstand. He didn't remember much from the night before, but he hoped she was at least cute.
Gilbert slowly slipped out of the bed, shivering as his feet hit the frozen floor. Geez. Did this chick even have heaters?
He circled around the bed, heading to the fridge. He hadn't eaten since he bummed food off that brunette in the bar the night before. Being homeless wasn't the funnest, but as long as he was this hot and could pick up a new chick every night, he'd be able to make to through the winter.
He noticed that the light in the fridge was out when he opened it. Okay, so it was cold because the power was out. That was alright. As long as he could get a sandwich out of the trip, he didn't care.
He quickly threw together some bread, peanut butter, and jam, only glancing up at last night's host once the meal was in his mouth.
Oh shit.
That wasn't a chick in the bed.
"Fuck." He muttered.
Okay Gil, calm down. This doesn't change anything. Just get the hell out of here and forget it happened.
He shuffled out of the apartment and into the hallway, noticing how quiet it all was. Gött. This place was a piece of shit.
Whatever. He only had to le-
"Fuuuuuck." He remembered it snowing the night before. That's why he was so eagerly pursuing a hookup. But this much snow? Fucking Canada.
The entire front door of the apartment building was buried. He wasn't getting out of this place any time soon.
But he didn't know where he was and he knew for sure that there wasn't anybody in this place that he knew. Well....except...
