Monday morning.

Today was the day.

We were going back to school. I hope it was all going to be alright.

I was eating downstaires. Mom and dad came home early, so I was already home again.

I was done eating and walked upstaires to shower. I took a quick shower and got dressed (picture). I fixed my hair and put on some chains and walked downstaires again. I put on my shoes and said goodbye to my parents.

I walked out the door to the neighbors. I rang the doorbell and waited, just looking around. A few minutes later it was opened by Marit.

"Hey!" She said smiling.

"Hi." 

"What are you doing here?" 

"Picking you up for school?"  I said with a grin. She laughed.

"Okay, come in. I'll just get my backpack." She left the door open for me to get in and turned around to get het backpack.

"Oh, goodmorning Justin." Anne said smiling.

"Morning." 

"Okay, ready. Bye mom." Marit said, kissing Anne on the cheek.

"Bye kids!"

We waved at her and I grabbed Marit's hand. 

We walked down the streets, just talking, when a car honked. We turned our heads and saw some people from out school.

"Hey Justin. What's up?"  One of the guys said.

"Nothing much. Just, walking to school." I said and looked at Marit with a smile. She blushed and looked down.

"Hey, I think it's great what you did. We all do. And Marit? We're all terribly sorry about what happened to you." He said, I could see he meant it by his expression.

"Thank you." Marit said, smiling a little.

"You two look so cute by the way!" One girl in the backseat said.

I looked at Marit and she blushed again.

"See you at school!" And they drove off.

After a few more minutes of walking, we arrived at school.

To my surprise, more people greeted us. So far, so good.

Now we just have to go inside and see if it's the same as outside.

"Hey, McAdams!"  I felt Marit froze next to me.
