It was a long awaited kiss. I wasn't sure about Edward, but it was, for me.
Our lips molded as one and Edward wrapped his arms around my waist to bring me closer to him. I could feel my heart beating very loudly. It was so loud that I wondered if Edward could hear it.
I've always read in books that you'll feel the fireworks when someone you like kisses you, but strangely, I don't feel anything. Was the fireworks saying perhaps, not true? Or was it because...
After awhile, we pulled apart for air and Edward rested his forehead on mine.
"It was great," he whispered with a smile.
"Yeah, it was," I replied with a smile of my own.
"Its getting late, I'll send you home," Edward told me and pulled away. I missed his warmth.
Intertwining our fingers, Edward led me out of the amusement to the car park where we got into his car and made our way back.
In the midst of driving, Edward played some music and slowly, I began to doze off.
"Hey, wake up," a voice sounded beside me and I slowly opened my eyes.
"We've reached," Edward told me softly and I looked outside to see that we had indeed reached my house.
"Thanks for today," I told Edward with a grin and was about to exit the car when a hand pulled me back.
I turned around to see Edward's face close to mine.
"You're welcome, and, good night," Edward whispered, kissing my cheek.
After getting off the car, I made my way to the room and was startled by a figure loitering near my window. I was about to scream when a hand covered my mouth. "Shush, its me," Jare's voice sounded and I let out a sigh of relief.
Switching on the lights in the room, I shot daggers at Jeremy. "Could you at least let me know you're here, I was about to have a heart attack," I told him harshly.
"Sorry for scaring you," Jeremy said apologetically and lowered his head.
"Its okay, just don't do that again."
"Why are you here anyway?" I asked him.
"I...have something to discuss with you," he told me, sounding a little uncertain,
"What's up?" I asked him and gestured him to take a seat on the bed.
"Uh...its...Ari."
"What about her?"
"We have been spending some time together now, and just now, she asked me what were we."
"Do you like her?" I asked.
"I...how do you know you like someone?" he replied me with a question.
"Um...so its like, you're nervous yet excited around her. You like spending time with her. Something like that," I told him.
"I guess I–"Jeremy started to say but I cut him off.
"I know how to be certain whether you like her anot," I told him when an idea came to mind.
I looked at my palm and the mark had faded quite some shades. I should be happy that our goal is nearing, but why do I feel somehow, conflicted?
"Yeah, I guess...you like her?" I asked Jeremy.
"I guess...I should ask her to be my girlfriend then?"
"Yeah, you should," I told him and he nodded.
"By the way, how was your date with Edward?" He suddenly changed the topic.
"It was great, we went to the amusement park," I shared what happened with Jare.
"Good for you, are you guys together now?" he asked.
"Um... I guess not? I'm not sure what we are," I shrugged.
"Okay, well um, I guess I gotta be going, good night cupcakes," Jeremy told me with a small smile and with a snap of his fingers, he disappeared.
It was a long day, after having a quick shower; I went to bed and fell asleep immediately.

"Hey, why are you so lost in your own thoughts?" Jess asked me when I met her in front of my locker the next day.
"You see, yesterday I went out with Edward, and he kissed–" I tried to explain but was interrupted by Jess.
"Holy cows! Seriously?!" Jess exclaimed.
"Yes yes, calm down, so I was trying to say, I don't know how to approach him later. I wasn't sure if yesterday's kiss was just an 'in-the-moment' thing or what," I told her.
"Why don't you ask him? Ask him what he thinks of you," Jess advised and I nodded slowly. "Lemme think about it."
And with that, we walked to our respective classes.
Classes passed quickly that morning, and soon, break came around.
Crap! I still needed some time to think about what to say to Edward.
Sending a message to inform Jess that I won't be going to the cafeteria, I made my way to the library instead, which I shouldn't have, but obviously, I didn't know at that point of time.
