"What?!" I say. "Nonononono... That's not possible. I mean, I know he has been crushing Lindsey for a while now, but I didn't think that he was gonna do it. Nice job, man." Hero says, patting Steve on the back. Cupa had the look of four things. Disgust, jealousy, hate, and broken. Oh no. I know all of those. Disgusted on the news actually happening. Jealous over Lindsey. Hatred on how Steve didn't chose her. And broken. The man she's loved for 6 months with all her heart has dated another girl. And, worse, he's liked her for as long as she liked him. Oh. My. Gosh. I felt really happy for Linz, but really bad for Cupa. I don't know. "Congratulations, Lindsey!" I say, with my most cheery voice. "Steve forced me into this. It's not a big deal." Linz says, a tiny blush brushing her face. Steve is just smiling like he won a million bucks. I think he's daydreaming. Nobody will ever know.
