~ Nimmi's POV ~
"Good morning Mama!" I said as I streamed down the stairs. Mama didn't reply as she was looking at the tablet.
"Mama?" I asked as I sat down at the dining table beside her.
"Nimmi, you're awake?" Mama asked and I nodded.
"What are you looking at?" I asked taking a sip of coffee.
"Houses." Mama replied.
"What?" I asked.
"I'm looking at houses that are on sale." Mama said.
"Why?" I asked.
"We're shifting houses." Mama said.
"What?! Why?" I asked, shocked.
"Uh, Nimmi? You have work right? Aren't you late?" Mama tried to change the subject.
I looked at the clock and I was late!
"Oh yes, I should leave now. And yes, here, this is for you." I said, giving her some money.
"What's this for?" Mama asked.
"My pay just came in yesterday. This is just some money for your daily expenses. Bye!" I said and left.
I wanted to get some answers on the houses but I decided to let it go as I was late for work.
