Belle's POV

"Just imagine yourself, fully, normal again...Deerper," I told him.

"Just imagine," he repeated, probably trying.

"Hmm." This is obviously not working.

"What were you doing when you shifted?"

"Reading about cervituars."

"Think of information on halfing demon-humans then."

He shifted back slowly.

His bones cracked and molded enough to make Satan cringe.

His legs went to normal, but then he kept shifting.

His mop of brown hair was granted golden highlights, one of his eyes glowed an eery blue, and he gained an inch of hight.

"Woah," I breathed.

"What is it, Belle?" His voice was multi-layered, but deeper.

"N-nothing...nothing at all..." I couldn't help but stare.

"Belle?" A faint sound was heard.

"Belle?!" I think I was dreaming.

"BELLE!?" Daydreaming.

"bEllE!?!" Wait, he was actually talking? OOPS!

"Y-yes, Dipper?"

"What about Mabel?"

"Oh yeah, she's going to be more difficult. I'll go help her."

I started to walk away.

"And Belle?"

"Yeah?" I pivoted back on my heel.

To find him right in front of me.

Like.

Really.

Close.

So.

We.

Were.

Almost.

Kissing.

I felt pink brush my cheeks.

"Um, be careful. Also, here." He handed me a pile of Mabel's clothes.

I took them and walked away briskly.

What was that?

Why was I...nervous?

We had said, before, we weren't dating.

Flashback.

"Belle?"

"Dipper. I'm not ready for this. Even after a trillion years."

He looked so sad.

"I mean, in demon and you're human. It won't work."

"Oh."

"Plus, I'm over a trillion years older than you!"

We both laughed.

End of Flasback

Well, I brushed it off and went to help Mabel.

"So, Mabel.." I walked in, shut the door, and gasped.

Mabel wasn't a mermaid anymore.
