Hello faithful readers, alittle late, but here's the newest chapter. Enjoy
Civilians screamed and ran for their lives as Spike rode into town. NCR troops were herding people into Twilight's castle while other troops erected guard posts to keep the infected at bay. The troops immediately shot at any zombie that got close as more began to appear.
"Please proceed into the Castle in an orderly fashion, The bubble is up and the troops will keep you safe." Bridgette said through a megaphone.
"We can't hold these bastards off much longer!" One soldier shouted, shooting three more zombies.
"Running out of ammo here!" Another said switching to their sidearm.
Dammit! Every time we take one down three more show up! Where the fuck is that ammo runner?!" A soldier shouted readying her rifle.
Spike shot wildly into the air as several of the infected started chasing him away from the castle. The zombies were a greenish gray with bloodshot eyes, torn clothes that exposed their rotting flesh and organs. Fresh blood stained and dripped from their mouths as the horde scrambled to get to him. Spike rode through town gathering more infected as he threw several molotovs behind him, burning the growing herd that clawed at his feet. Spike saw the town crumbling right before his eyes. Businesses and homes were on fire and covered with blood splatter. Civilians lay dead or infected in the streets as the undead stopped to feast on their remains. Spike covered his nose as the smell of rotten burnt flesh grew stronger. Spike pulled out a bottle labeled "Zombie Bait" and threw it at a nearby flower shop. The bottle shattered, spilling green liquid onto the floor that released a putrid smell. The herd behind him got smaller as several infected were drawn to the bait. Spike turned and shot the remaining infected with his shotgun before tossing a lit stick of dynamite into the crowd of infected clawing at the puddle of green liquid.
"Heh, Zombie Bait: catnip for zombies" Spike smirked as the zombies were blown to bits.
Intestines, blood and limbs rained down on Spike as more infected showed up from the gunfire and explosion.
"Fuck, how many of these things are there?" Spike said annoyed. He picked off several with his winchester rifle.
The zombies trampled each other as he picked off the dead one by one.
"Shit!" Spike cursed as the rifle jammed. He threw it to the ground.
He kicked Spitfire's sides hard and rode out of town with the horde hot on his heels.
Infected townsfolk sprinted towards him as he was working on a surprise for them. He took the last bottle of Zombie Bait, stuck a stick of dynamite into the spout while taping three more sticks to the bottle. He made it to the outskirts of town frantically trying to light the braided fuses. His fingers were slippery with infected blood preventing him from using his incinerate. Spike held his makeshift bomb to Spitfire's fiery mane as the fuse hissed to life. He tossed it as far back as possible, cracking the bottle open and drawing in the remaining swarm. Spike kicked Spitfire's side harder as the bomb exploded behind him. The blast knock him off his horse and the stallion galloped away spooked. Spike hit the dirt hard as he quickly took aim. He saw a medium size crater where the bomb went off with zombie bits scattered around it. Spike got up and puked as the wind blew the horrible stench right in his face.
"I hate my life" Spike muttered. Wiping his mouth, he walked back to town.
He looked around assessing the damage to the town. Civilians crawled through the streets bitten and wounded beyond healing begging for help. Spike quickly put them out of their misery before making his way to the castle.
