Carl's POV

I watched as my dad paced back and forth, Enid sitting next to me.

Suddenly, he stopped and turned to face me. "So what are you trying to tell me?" he asked.

I stood up and walked over to him. "I'm saying that we should take JC's group in."

"Why?" he asked exasperatedly.

"They've done so much for us," I explained. "It's the least we could do. Plus, their leader just died. We're all they have left."

"You're treating them like they're children," he accused. "They're adults. They know how to take care of themselves."

"Do they?" I asked. "I've never seen them make one decision that wasn't based off of what JC told them to do."

To that, my dad had no response.

"Come on, dad," I pleaded.

He took a moment before sighing. "I'll talk it over with the rest of the group."

I nodded as he started to walk out of the room.

I called out to him as I remembered something.

"Dad, wait! There's one more thing."

He turned around to face me.

"We need to get out of this place," I told him. "As soon as possible."

He looked off to his right for a moment before walking back towards me.

"Why?" he asked.

I knew that he would think I was insane if I told him that JC visited me from the dead and told me.

"JC told me before she died," I said. "Negan has alliances with other groups and he may have told them where we live. Once they learn that we killed him, they're gonna come after us."

"So you think we can just simply pack up and leave?" he asked like I was stupid. "We have nowhere to go and you seem to forget that you have a pregnant girlfriend."

"I'm alright," I heard Enid say behind me.

We faced her for a second before turning back around.

"You have your own family now," my dad said, a little quieter. "You need to take care of them."

"I am," I said, getting defensive. "I'm trying to stop them from dying the same way as JC. I'm protecting my family. You're the one that's not protecting yours."

And with that, I turned on my heels and headed out the door.

"Carl!" I heard Enid call. I then heard running footsteps, indicating that she was following me.

I didn't acknowledge them.

Author's Note: Life lesson number 1-never accuse Carl of not taking good care of his family (Enid and his unborn child).

Also, story time. So I've tried using about 10 different editing apps for my predictions video, and none of them are working.

Unless any of you know any good editing apps for the iPod 5, I might have to upload the video on my fan account on Instagram (@neganandthesaviors)
