HE SAT TO THE SIDE, WATCHING in awe as Jennifer danced. She seemed so carefree, so happy, he couldn't help but smile at her as she waved him over.

"Sebbums! Dance with me!" She giggled, encouraging a laugh of his own. He slowly stepped up to her, snaking his arm around her waist, and taking her hand in his.

Something seemed to click inside her; her whole drunken demeanour changed. She smiled up at him, melting into his hold.

She gently rested her head on his shoulder, and he took a nervous breath. They had never been this close before.

They started to sway, only slightly, but it was enough for Jennifer's eyes to close.

"Seb?" Her voice was quiet, but he still heard her over the music. He turned his head to look at her, his smile faltering when he saw that she had tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" He held her closer, rubbing her back comfortingly as she sniffled.

She looked him dead in the eye, the usual twinkle in her blue orbs replaced by something different; sorrow, doubt, anger.

"A-Are you going to l-leave me?" She stuttered, her lip starting to tremble.

Sebastian shook his head.

"Why would I ever?" He replied with a smile, and he saw the relief wash across her face.

She buried her face into his shoulder, clutching his shirt as they swayed. Sebastian rested his chin upon her head, sighing deeply.

He tried to ignore the tingling feeling in his stomach, the excitement. He tried to push the euphoria down, but nothing could remove the beam on his face.

He really, really liked Jennifer. Heck, he probably loved her. He's never felt this way with anyone.

But thoughts like that aren't rewarding to a drunk mind.

He scanned her body, just wanting, needing, to hold her longer, to feel her touch. She was like a drug, and boy was he addicted.

He wanted her then and there.

"Shall we head home?" He suggested with a whisper, and she laughed.

"My home, you mean." She giggled, releasing him from her hold and stepping back.

He interlocked his fingers with hers, and she sent him a grin that made his heart bounce around in his chest.

"C'mon, you Romanian potato."

He scoffed playfully, and she bit her lip to hide her laugh.

"Since when am I a potato?" Sebastian chuckled, gazing at her.

"Since...you started speaking to me. Only potatoes do that." She said after some thought. Sebastian thought that there was probably some meaning behind her words, but he didn't want to delve into it.

"Well then, I'm a very proud potato." He said softly as guided her out to the street.

Outside the rain was pouring, and it struck Jennifer by surprise when she ran out into the open.

She stood, shocked for a couple of seconds, the cold raindrops finding their way down her dress and making her shiver.

Sebastian watched her as she started to twirl around in the rain, his hands in his pockets.

Her laugh was contagious, her smile was irresistible.

Without a thought, he walked right up to her, pulling her close to him like they had done before.

"Hello potat-"

He cut her off by gently placing his lips against hers, ignoring the thundering rain that hit him.

She was frozen for a second, and the doubt twisted in his mind. But she soon moved into the kiss, relaxing against him and his hold. His arms held her waist securely, and her hands found their way to his hair, twisting it between her fingers.

He had never felt so content.

If he could, he would stay in that moment with Jennifer forever.
