Oh Joe

Laughing hard Jackie grabbed on to Joe. " I'm serious Jacqueline, we just went straight the wall". Not being able to stop Jackie  playfully hit Joe as to tell him to shut up! 

"Oh Joe, it's getting roughly late we should go" said Jackie looking at her wrist watch. Sighing Joe didn't want this night to end. He hadn't had this much fun since he was in college.

" yeah it is, let's go" he said putting his shoulder around her. 

" so that man that yelled your name at the carnival he was an old pal of yours ?".

 "Yes very much ".

"Well what happened between you?" Jackie said curiously. "He started his own family and committed  very hard to it" said Joe.

  "I sure do hope I find a husband like that" she said looking up to joe winking.

" just you wait Jacqueline" he said winking back.  While on the car ride back they sat listening to music. 

The headlights must have been super light because everybody went outside as soon as they heard the car. Jack awoke to the commotion. Rubbing his eyes he yawned and followed Bobby. "What's going on?" Jack asked .

 "I think Jackies here". The sound of her name was already enough To wake him.

  "Joe honey where did you go?" Said Rose.

 " I took Jackie out to relieve her from her stress especially the kind Jack made for her" said Joe angrily.

 " Jackie honey come out now, it's alright" Rose said looking at Jackie. She slowly crept from the car and put her hands behind her back shyly.

 "Jackie! Oh Jackie your back" said Jack as he hugged her. Just standing there with her hands at her side Jackie couldn't help but stare at Joe the whole time. He realized she was looking at him when Bobby asked where they had gone.

 "We just went out and talked that's all" he said.

 He couldn't help but frown at the thought of Jackie feeling helpless.

 "Jackie I was worried sick about you , where did you go?".

 Snapping her out of spacing out Jackie answered " I just went on a walk with Joe that's it". 

"Let's go inside" Jack said grabbing her hand. Stopping mid way Jackie let go of his hand.  

"NO" Jackie said with tears in her eyes. "I won't be with someone who cheats and lies, I had to put up with it from my father but nonetheless will I take it from some "senator"." Turning heads Jackie looked around and noticed everyone was staring at her in disbelief and shock. "Jacqueline please it was before I met you, she doesn't mean anything to me" Jack said tearing up.

 " I'm sorry Jack Kennedy, but this is over". She ran inside to her clothes which were still in her suitcase and ran back outside. Everyone still stood shocked. As she was about to make it to the exit Joe grabbed her hand

" please Jacqueline don't leave us.... Don't leave me" he said soft enough for only her to hear him. With tears rolling down her cheek and her nose as red as hours before, she  looked at Joe one more time. They both felt each others sorrow.

 "I'm sorry" she said barely letting out those words.
