I Promise

"I'm sorry" she whispered. Jackie was praying . She kissed his hand and stepped out. 

"Jackie" she turned around and saw Joe. 

"Joe..." 

"Is he ..." she shook her head and started to cry. He pulled her in but felt her push away. 

"It's all my fault" she said with her hands on her head. Joe shook his head and tried to hug her. "Yes it is, God is punishing me for cheating on him" 

"You're not even married" Joe said getting frustrated. " Jackie..." he said looking at her. She felt hopeless and miserable. 

"Caroline" she said. "Oh, Caroline" she grabbed her purse but dropped it and began to sob uncontrollably. Joe picked her up. 

"Jackie" he shook her lightly. "Jackie" he said now more sternly. "You're going to bring attention to yourself and they will suspect of us. 

Rose and the others were in another waiting room. Joe stayed nearby, he knew how this would drain Jackie. 

"Let's go" he said. 

She ran inside and grabbed Caroline. She gave millions of kisses to her child and embraced her warmly. 

"Daddy will be home soon" she said. 

"Jackie..." Joe said. "Daddy's going to be alright" 

"Jackie look at me" he said grabbing her. Jackie looked at him with red strained eyes. 

"Jack will be okay, I Promise"
