"How's he doing?" Joe asked Jackie as she closed the door behind her. Jack had been approved to go back home, after 2 weeks at the hospital, as long as he would have a nurse staying with them.
"He's... hes breathing" she chuckled." He's alright just in a lot of pain"
"Has he asked to see anybody?"
"Just Caroline, but shes sleeping right now"
"How about we go into town?" he asked. Jackie looked at him and sighed.
"Joe... Plea-"
"Not just us, ethel and bobby could come along, the kids" Joe interrupted her before she said what he had hoped she wouldn't. Jackie let go of the door knob and crossed her arms.
"And do what?"
"Just venture out, grab something to eat. Maybe hit the arcade so the kids wont drive Bobby and Ethel crazy."
Jackie laughed and hit Joe on the shoulder. "Those kids aren't that bad"
Ethel was sitting on the porch with Rose watching the kids play their competitive Kennedy football.
"Ethel" Rose said
"Yes"
"Do you know of any woman that Joe may be seeing, he's been awful secretive and quiet" she raised an eyebrow
"He's a good looking man, any woman not seeing him is at risk for great loss" Ethel laughed nervously.
Rose smiled and pat her lap.
"I'll find out eventually" Rose added.
