Chapter 38

Maya POV

I came home from classes to find Kinleigh and Lucas fast asleep on the couch. Kinleigh was laying on his chest and the two of them looked adorable. I couldn't help myself and had to take some pictures. After I was done taking the pictures I gently picked up Kinleigh from Lucas chest and placed her in the pack n play. She continued to stay asleep and I didn't want to wake her but I did want to wake Lucas.  I have missed him and felt like I haven't seen much of him lately. School has been busy and every night i have been working on homework. Tonight was an easy night. I gently straddled Lucas as he lay on the couch. I placed my hands on his cheeks and smiled. 

"Lucas, wake up." I said to him as I traced the outline of his jaw with my finger. 

"Hmm." he mumbled. 

I leaned down and placed my lips on his. He pulled me closer and and kissed me harder. I smiled into his mouth as we made out then I pulled away and looked down at him.

"I have missed you."  I said to him and he smiled at me. 

"I have missed you two. I might have to take naps more often if you are going to wake me up like that." he said and I grinned at him. 

"I hate that I have been so busy lately with school. I feel like we don't see much of each other and I feel like I'm not seeing a lot of Kinleigh either." I answered. 

"Don't worry about it. I'm proud of you, Maya. You are so dedicated in becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner and that makes me so happy." he replied. 

"Thank you for being such an amazing boyfriend and also an amazing Daddy to our baby girl. I wouldn't be able to do this without you. For two teenagers that are living on our own and raising a baby on top of trying to do our school work as well as juggle our jobs we sure have done a great job with it." I answered. 

Lucas gently moved the hair out of my face and cupped my cheek with his hand as I smiled down at him"I love you Maya. You have given  the best gift I could ever receive and I couldn't imagine a world without you or our baby in it. You're both my life." he said and then pulled my face to his placing his lips on mine. 

Lucas placed his other hand on my thigh as we continued to make out on the couch and then slowly moved it upward under my shirt. He brush along my stomach causing me to shudder at his touch as he made contact with my skin. I felt him cup my breast and let out a small moan in his mouth. I pulled away from the kiss and bucked my hips into him causing him to let out a small grunt. 

"Fuck, Maya." he groaned. I pulled my shirt off and threw it on the floor. 

He reached his hand up behind my back and unclasped my bra  with one hand. I leaned down and kissed him again he eased into that kiss and I felt his hands going to the zipper of my jeans. Once unzipped I felt his hand make its way into my pants. I buried my face into his neck and moaned out as he rubbed me. I couldn't take it anymore and need more than just this. Once we were both naked I took control of the situation because I needed him. Lucas and I managed to have sex on the couch without the baby waking up. It felt good to just be with Lucas since it had been so long. After a little while Kinleigh finally woke up and she was one happy baby. I picked her up and she was grinning at me and very happy to see me. The first thing I did was feed her and then once done I cuddled with Lucas on the couch as she played. I decided after awhile I should make dinner so that's what I did. The rest of the night we just hung out and played with our baby. Riley texted me at around 9PM and said she was coming home tomorrow and that she wanted to see me and Kinleigh. I was so excited because I missed her so much. 

The next day after classes I went and picked Kinleigh up from Lucas's Aunt's house. I was so excited that we would be seeing Riley soon. She was going to be coming to my place and since Lucas was at school it worked out perfectly. I had just finished feeding Kinleigh when there was a knock at the door. I picked her up out of her high chair and carried here with me as I went to open the door. 

I opened the door and smiled seeing my best friend on the other side. I pulled her into a hug "Hey Riles, I have missed you so much." I said to her and then pulled away. 

"I've missed you too peaches. And your smol bean." she said with a smile. 

"She's growing like a weed." I said to her as we made our way into the living room area.

Riley and I sat down on the couch "I see that." she said with a smile and then looked over at Kinleigh who was grinning at her. "Hello baby girl. Aunt Riley has missed you." 

Kinleigh put her arms out towards Riley who then took her from me. "I think she's happy to see Aunt Riley too." I chuckled. "How have you been? How is Farkle?" 

"I'm great! Classes have had me so busy and Farkle is doing great. He loves all the medical stuff he is learning." she replied. 

"Me too. I'm learning so much in my field to become a neonatal nurse practitioner. It has been so much fun." I answered. 

"I'm so happy you found something you love." she said to me. "Have you figured out everything for Kinleigh's first birthday?" 

"We are going to do a Mickey Mouse theme for her. She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse." I chuckled. "You want to help me plan it?" 

"Yeah of course! Do you want to start now?" she said with a smile. 

"We might as well since you are here. I'm so not ready for her to turn 1 yet but I'm also excited to put her party together." I replied. 

"This is going to be so much fun peaches." she said excitedly. 

Riley and I spent most of our time figuring out and coming up with ideas for Kinleigh's part. It was so much fun having my best friend here. It reminded me of when we planned our sweet 16 birthday parties together. After Riley left I fed Kinleigh then started on dinner so it would be ready when Lucas got here. I settled on making some homemade chicken noodle soup for us. Even Kinleigh  enjoyed the noodles and little pieces of chicken that I placed one her high chair. The rest of the night was just spent with me doing my homework and then hanging out with Lucas for a little bit before we had to go to bed. I was so thankful that after tomorrow it was the weekend because that meant more time with Lucas and Kinleigh.
