Liza's POV

We only have a few more days left of summer vacation. Very sad, I know. Over the summer, we didn't really do much. Me and David went on a few dates, the group hung out a few times, but that's it. Today is the 28th so that's another month me and David have been dating. I turn over so I am facing my clock. 4:39 AM. I haven't been able to sleep for the last few hours. I grab my phone and text David. I kind of spam him with texts.

Liza: Hey 

Liza: Hi 

Liza: I hope ur phone is on mute 

Liza: Jk I hope it's beeping like crazy

Liza: Because 

Liza: I am a 

Liza: Great 

Liza: Girlfriend

Liza: Happy anniversary

Liza: In case you forgot

Liza: But you better not have because I will kill you if you did

Liza: Isn't that 10 months?

Liza: I have wasted 10 months dating you?

Liza: Jk ily

Liza: But 10 months is a lot

Liza: Damn it will be a year in 2 months

Liza: It feels like yesterday we kissed for the first time

Liza: That's really cheesy

Liza: God damn it now I want pizza

Liza: What am I doing with my life

Liza: Why I am texting you

Liza: Because I can't sleep

Liza: So I guess you aren't on your phone?

Liza: Ok.

Liza: Text me when you wake up

Liza: Bye bye.

I put my phone down next to me and close my eyes. A few seconds later I hear my phone ringing. I look at the caller ID. It's David.

Liza: "Hey."

David: "26."

Liza: "26 what?"

David: "26 text messages."

We both laugh.

Liza: "Sorry. I'm really tired.

David: "Have you tried this crazy thing called sleeping?"

Liza: "No David, I did not try sleeping."

I roll my eyes even though he can't see me.

David: "Can't sleep?"

Liza: "Yeah."

David: "What's wrong babe?"

Liza: "I don't know."

David: "Want me to come over? I can pick up coffee?"

Liza: "Please!"

David: "Ok bye baby."

Liza: "Bye bye."

I hang up. 

After what feels like FOREVER, David finally knocks on the window. Yeah. Knocks on the window. Forget the door. We only use the window now. I walk over and open the window up. I smile and David and he smiles back right away.
