Mictecacihautl is the Aztec goddess of death, one that the Winchesters should be wary of but cared less about. In ancient times her worship sometimes involved ritual cannibalism, with human flesh being consumed in and around her temple. She was associated with spiders, owls, bats, the eleventh hour, and the northern compass direction, known as Mictlampa, the region of death. She was one of only a few deities held to govern over all three types of souls identified by the Aztecs, who distinguished between the souls of people who died normal deaths (of old age, disease, etc.), heroic deaths (e.g. in battle, sacrifice or during childbirth), or non-heroic deaths. She was the opposite, and complement, of her siblings, Ometecuhtli and Omecihuatl, the givers of life.

Being bored with the world of the dead, Mic decided to go up to the world of the living and visit the two brothers that had been in her kingdom almost as much as she has—the Winchester's. It becomes a problem to the Winchester when people who need to stay dead keep coming back to life.

Even though she is the goddess of death, Mic has a big heart. She loves, she does. She is respectful of her partners, she even cherishes love, cherishes sex; the things that foster connection with bodies and spirits. In that, she finds her dark divine. She goes all in, all passion, which is why she's best with a Winchester.

She's seductive and gentle at the same time, with a fascination over every thing in the living world because her home in Mictlan is a windowless house full of bones of the dead. She's fierce and takes crap from nobody, so don't make her weak when threatened. Her weaknesses are that she cannot control her anger and is very stubborn, she's impulsive, a slight vain, and her siblings. The powers of her siblings, Ometecuhtil and Omecihuatl (the givers of life), are the only ones that can stop her.
