Clémentine Beaulieu is the daughter of a French director and an American actress, two of the most prominent people in the cinematography world. In other words, they are as known as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Even though her parents are A-listers, she doesn't want to use her connections to further herself in her career. Her parents, nonetheless the grand supporters and want nothing more but success, have helped. They kept the help in silent, even to her. The tabloids, like tabloids so, gather her success from her parents because since they're famous, and her birth had been well publicised by the tabloids, it was how she was quick to pick a career that most spent years working for.

Clémentine began her career doing TV shows, then went on to Broadway. Out of the two, she prefers Broadway the most. Her first prominent role was in the musical The Secret Garden as Mary Lennox, and she was nominated for a Tony for that role. Did she win? No, but that would not be her last nomination. Instead of going to movies, like her parents and management wanted to, Clémentine stayed in Broadway.

Until the slump.

She was on an acting slump for two years, searching for a job continuously on anything that would have her. A few guest roles, which had her killed not even ten minutes into the episode, and nothing more. Until her management calls her and tells her that they want her to audition for some book-based movie. So, she goes in, she reads her lines with one of the producers and leaves. It was a quick audition, since she was the only one there.

She thinks she didn't get the job so she begins to look for others, until she gets the call. She was hired as the female protagonist for the movie, and she was to go in to the table read the following month in London. Excited and all, she celebrated with her family and closest friends.

The movie is based on Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby: a story about Quinn Sullivan (Clémentine Beaulieu) who falls for the recipient (Unknown) of her boyfriend's donated heart. As soon as she knows which book it's about, she devours it.

At the first read through, she finds out who will play the recipient of the heart, none other than Harry Styles, a boy whom girls can't get enough of. She is surprised and a bit worried about this, but she doesn't show her concern to any one but herself. After all, this was her first movie, and she did not want to fuck it up.

Clémentine and Harry start to get along through texting, and then when they're filming. It's a slow burn, so they will become friends and trust everything on each other. Harry tells her how he finds it hard that he has a solo career, and can't really share things with others, and the fame still shocks and frightens him because his has eyes on him constantly.

Clémentine tells him how she feels invisible in her household, since her parents focus more on her career than her actual well being. She fights a lot with them, and distances herself from them because they focus more on how the tabloids see her than how she truly is. Her friends use her to see Harry, or for the fame. She feels alone, like she can't trust anyone, not even Harry.
