They met at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, while both staring at a picture of the Howling Commandos. One happened to be the granddaughter of one, and the other happened to be its former leader. Jane Triplett enjoyed the conversations she had about them to the man that always had his face hidden under a cap, even inviting him out for coffee, then a diner, then back to her place. It was then when she realised that the man with his face always hidden was the Steve Rogers, the man her grandfather used to talk so fondly about. But, it didn't phase her that the man she was dating was a superhero, because all she wanted to do was make him happy.

They continuously meet at the museum with neither of them knowing who the other really us, until they finally decide to introduce themselves. It didn't register to Jane that Steve Rogers was the man her grandfather spoke so much about, or that he was the one and only Captain America. So, she continues to meet with him at the museum.

Steve makes the first move and asks her out on a date. Like an excited puppy, he plans the date out to perfection with the help of Natasha: dinner at an Italian restaurant Sam Wilson told him about, dessert from the ice cream place that has strange flavours, and finally a walk beneath the stars at the park. Steve is unsure about it, because he thinks the date is too classy, but Sam reassures him that every girl loves classy and expensive things.

When they arrive at the Italian restaurant, Jane asks him if he's sure he wants to eat there. He sighs and tells her the truth, she laughs, then takes him to the little unknown places: a small Korean restaurant, the small Thai place that serves delicious homemade ice cream that they eat beneath the stars. It's there where the pair say the truth about why they were at the museum so much. Jane, because she misses her grandfather a lot. And Steve, he decided to become a normal human and lies to her, tells her that his grandfather served in the war along with hers. He came Steve Rogers III, a lie that he hoped she would believe. She did.

Steve lives a normal life, with a girlfriend, a boring job, and friends that make fun of him. But, when danger lurks in every corner for the Avenger, he knows that the happiness cannot lasts.
