SUMMARY |

❝Some people have lives, some people have music.❞

Caroline Windsor breathed music. It coursed through her veins and made hole in her lungs, a set of notes that made her feel alive. She thought of everything through music, and was involved in several clubs through the school career. Then came high school, and the thought of being on stage singing her own songs became a dream she wanted to reach.

Enter Archie Andrews, the football player who has a knack for writing songs and playing a guitar in secret. He hears Caroline sing a verse from "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", and he becomes some bit enamored with her voice. He asks for her to help him better his voice, then to write some music, and then to sing a duet.

And somehow, through all the music, they fall for each other.

• Her full name is Caroline Bluebell Windsor. Her middle name is Bluebell because her father liked the meaning of the name, which is humility and constancy. Also, because she was conceived in a carpet of Bluebells in the forest by Sweet Water River. Her father likes to say that it's because her mother had deep blue eyes that reminded him of Bluebells. Every time she asked, he would give her a different reason.
• Her mother did not die. In fact, her mother left when she was a few days old and relinquished all the rights as a parent to Caroline. It was her father that took care of her.
• To take care of her, Theodore Windsor joined the Southside Serpents. F.P. Jones thought of Theo as a close friend, since he was part of the high school clique he hung with.
• When F.P. and Theo has to do some work with the Serpents, Caroline was left with Gladys Jones (F.P.'s wife). She met Jughead Jones then, and quickly became friends with him. She considered Jughead a brother, since she had always wanted one. When Jellybean was born, she considered her a little sister.
• She always thought of the Jones family as her own, since she spent just as much time with them as she did with her father.
• Then came along Archie Andrews and his bright red hair and boyish charm. And then Betty Cooper, the blonde with a straight stance and a careful smile. The four of them became the best of friends.
• Caroline distanced herself from her best friends sometime during the middle of middle school. She felt strange and sad, confused. All her friends had their family. Hers was just one person, her dad, and their pet cat she had named Aslan, after she read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. In other words, she envies them.
• At the age of fourteen, she became an honorary Serpent since her father was one. When she turned sixteen, she would be able to be completely initiated. At first, she didn't like it. As the months passed by, she knew the Serpents were her family.
• Caroline has only sang in private. Her cat the the walls have been the only ones who have heard her sing. The music room at school, private since no one wants to be there, is the second place where she'll belt out lyrics. It's her favourite place, one could say.  She spends a lot of time there, to the point where she even studies while warming up her voice and performing in front of the empty chairs. It's there where Miss Grundy hears her.
• Caroline takes a liking to Miss Grundy, since she's the only person (other than Dad and Aslan) to have heard her sing. Miss Grundy says that she has a potential at being professional, from musicals to even on a stage like those big name stars. Caroline doesn't know what to say, since she never considered being a famous musician, even less for others to hear her sing. But, Miss Grundy wants to help her.
• Even when Miss Grundy is not there, Caroline spends a lot of time ( score school, during breaks, and after school) in the music room with her books, her voice, her guitar, and the recording app on her phone. It's there where she keeps several of her songs, and covers.
• While she does her History homework, she sings. She especially likes musicals. One of her favourite songs is "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz. As she sings, Archie Andrews walks in. He was looking for Miss Grundy (obvs), But happens to see his childhood best friend belt out lyrics.
• Caroline is shocked to see her childhood best friend there. She stumbles over her words and picks up her things to leave, but Archie stops her. He asks her about her voice, and why was she hiding it, and how come she wasn't singing with the Pussycats. After Caroline calms down, she confesses to Archie that she didn't want anyone to hear her sing, and because she was deathly afraid of failure. Her father wanted her to be something important in life, something grand, and being a musician was something her dad thought would not allow her to be grand. Archie feels the same way, and they connect through that.
• It starts with secret meetings in the music room, where they both sing and help each other writing songs.
• Archie secretly records Caroline singing "Ordinary People" by John Legend. It becomes a favourite song to the pair, especially after they made it into a duet and recorded it on their phones.
• She's brought into the gang all thanks to Betty Cooper wanting her to make Archie realise that Miss Grundy is an older lady and shouldn't be with a teenager. Caroline answers to this with the white guy blinking gif because she was clueless to the whole thing.
• She gets back to being good friends with Jughead after he moves in with Archie, to the point where it's her dad that becomes his foster dad when F.P. is arrested.
• She gets caught up with the gang in Jason Blossom's murder, because she thinks her dad was somehow involved after he came home that night with his shoes covered in blood. When the gang see the video of Jason's death, it was her father who helped F.P. take care of the body.
• She an Archie are just a fling, pure sexual attraction and a bit of emotional bc of the same way the felt. When Archie gets together with Veronica, he still has a bit of feelings for Caroline. In return, she has feelings for him as well.
• Caroline performs for the first time during the talent show. She sings "So High" by John Legend, her eyes falling on Archie. Since they spent a lot of time together for their music, and somehow got feelings for each other.
• Veronica respects Caroline and Archie's relationship. She knows they have something between them, and she's okay with that, but sometimes gets a bit jealous when she sees the way they look at each other.
• Caroline becomes a member of the Serpents before Jughead.
