OC NAME | Hanael
SEASON (S) | S2, before Klaus appears
LOVE INTEREST | Matt Donovan*
SUMMARY |

❝If you're looking for spiritual assistance, you should call upon a saint. If you meet an angel, you should probably run.❞

When Matt Donovan was driving home, he encountered a figure laying in the middle of the road. She was hurt and unresponsive, which made Matt think that she was one of Damon's victims. With all his strength, he pulls the unresponsive girl to his car and drives to the Salvatore Boarding house to demand answers.

When in the house, and everyone discussing who this girl might be, she wakes up with the most excruciating scream of pain. She jolts up, and immediately start drawing sigils on the walls with her own blood. The vampires in the house try to calm her down, demand her to stop. Terrified, the girl removes her shirt and touches her back, revealing where her angel wings had been clipped. After several moments of silence, she states, "My name is Hanael. I was an angel of God."

OTHER |

More often than not, if an angel appears to an event in the bible, it is to harm someone. So, angels in this story will not be like the shoulder-length haired, white-robed Caucasians that adorn laminated prayer cards. Angels, in this story, are warriors; they have lead armies into battles and are in training for the final showdown at Armageddon.

Hanael used to be one of the seven archangels, but fell because she sinned: "For God did not spare angels who sinned..." Her sin was questioning the love of God for her siblings—the angels—and why he loved his creatures—humans—more. She almost started a rebellion in Heaven, but fell after a fight with Michael, a brother she used to love and cherish.

In this story, Hanael will have a hatred towards any humans, thinking little of their short lives. But, while the story goes on, she will start to see why God loves them, and why she starts to fall for one. Right then, I want another archangel (either Michael or Gabriel) to come down and tell her that she has been forgiven for her sins, since she has seen why must they love humans. BUT THEN LUCIFER COMES AND IS LIKE "WHAT DO YOU MEAN LOVE HUMAN? HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THAT OUR FATHER WILL ALWAYS LOVE THEM MORE THAN HE WILL LOVE US, HIS CHILDREN?" AND THEN IT WILL BE AN INTERNAL BATTLE BETWEEN LOVING A HUMAN(S) AND WANTING TO BECOME AN ANGEL AGAIN.
