Fiza's POV:

On waking up early in the morning, I found Sumbul sleeping beside me, with my hand in hers. A smile appeared on my face and lightly I squeeze her hand. She is the real sister I ever wished for and her protectiveness, make her more special. If I am true to myself, she and Chachu are the only people who really care for me. Baba Jani never tried to bridge the gap that was created after his second marriage and now that gap has become too big to cover. Nuwair, on the other hand, turns out to be much better than Baba Jani, at least he didn't forget me and approach me through Chachu's family because Baba Jani had averted his eyes from him long ago and mom fully supported him. So his existence isn't much in my life as Sumbul or Chachu.

Taking a deep breath I closed my eyes, many memories of the past start to appear in my mind like a movie. A blurred vision of Baba Jani introducing his new wife to me, my Mom's first slap on my face. The time Nani took Nuwair, my first fight with my step-siblings, pitiful eyes and words of my classmates. Taunts of my Mom, my Nikkah and everything after it until today. Slowly tears start dripping from the corners of my eyes.

Life is so unfair...

"Don't cry Apiya." I heard Sumbul's sleepy voice and open my eyes.

"Subha Bakhair (Good morning)." She gave me a weak smile.

"Morning?" I frowned.

"Yes. Morning. You slept the whole day yesterday."

"Seriously?" My eyes widen and she nodded in affirmative.

"Why didn't you wake me up?"

"I couldn't Apiya, you were under medicine effect."

"Medicine?... what medicine?"

"You fainted yesterday Apiya, do you remember?"

"....I guess... I did." I mumbled.

"That's why the Doctor gave medicine so you could sleep longer."

"Oh!... and where are the kids?"

They must've troubled them...

"With their Mamo, Papa called him yesterday and asked him to take care of them for one more day." Sumbul explained getting up from the bed.

"But.... he said, he has meeting today." I mumbled.

"He probably cancels it." She shrugs. But I felt bad for troubling him.

Ehtesham's POV:

I couldn't believe my eyes when I find Ami and Papa on my doorstep early in the morning. I tried to talk to them but none of them answered me. Guess they have read the news too, and I don't know how I can protect myself from the storm that was about to come.

"Ami please don't be like this, talk to me." I say to Ami going into the kitchen. She was making chai (tea) for Papa.

"Would you like to have a cup also?" She asked in monotone, without looking at me.

"...No. but I want you to talk to me properly." I say hugging her from the back.

She remains silent for a while before saying, "What do you want to talk about?"

"Anything." I smiled.

"I have nothing to talk about." She murmured.

"Oh, come on Ami. Both you and Papa are behaving like I have murder someone. It was just a piece of news, people will eventually forget about it and everything went to normal." I argued.
