Ugh... I'm bored. I'm sitting on my couch alone, of course.
Phoebe's out with Jill, Whitney's at work and Chloe's at school.
I just remembered something 50's in town this week I should call him up and see if he wants to hang.
I grab my cellphone and dial his number.
The phone rings once, twice and then he picks up the phone.
"Hey Em what's up?" 50 says.
"Oh nothing much I'm home alone right now" I say.
"Yo where's your girl" he says referring to Phoebe.
"She's out with her friend" I tell him.
"Oh, alright, I'm guessing you want me to come over" he says.
"Yep" I reply.
"Can you?" I ask.
"Yeah no problem Em you know you're my favorite white boy, I'll be over soon" he says and then hangs up the phone.
*Ring Ring*
My phone starts ringing, I look down at the caller id thinking that I will see 50's number and that he's calling back to cancel, but to my surprise I see that it's Hailie.
"Hey dad" she says in a sweet voice.
"Hey princess" I say feeling very happy that I get to talk to her.
"So I have something I'd like to tell you" she says.
"Oh yeah what's that?" I ask.
"Well I'm going to come right out and say it, I'm pregnant" she says.
My jaw drops.
"Congratulations baby that's great!" I say enthusiastically.
"Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?" I ask curiously.
"No not yet but I'll let you know when I find out" she says.
"Oh, I have to get going" she tells me and then she hangs up.
My baby girl is pregnant.
*Ding Dong*
The doorbell rings and I get up to answer it.
It's 50.
"Hey Em" 50 says while giving me a bro hug.
"Guess what!" I say excitedly.
50 laughs, "what?" he says.
"Hailie's pregnant" I tell him.
"Oh that's great" he says seeming genuinely happy for me.
"Have you told Phoebe yet?" he asks.
"Nah man, not yet" I say.
I'm saying goodbye to 50, we had a great time we played basketball and I totally won. Although sometimes I think he kind of lets me win. We talked a lot too, just catching up and stuff like that.
50 is so funny he's like one of my best friends.
Now I just have to wait until Phoebe and the girls get home.
Whitney's P.O.V.
I just finished my shift at Little Caesers and now I'm going to pick Chloe up from school. Chloe is in sixth grade, gosh I remember when I was in sixth grade it seems like so long ago.
I pull up to her school and she runs from the building and quickly gets into my car.
"Hey Chloe how was your day?" I ask.
"Oh it was okay, I guess" she says quietly.
"What's wrong Chloe?" I ask knowing that she's upset about something.
She doesn't say anything.
"Come on Chloe I'm your big sister you can tell me anything" I tell her.
"Okay" she says sighing.
"I'm just sick of school" she says angrily.
"Why? you love school" I say feeling confused.
"I'm sick of being picked on" she says.
"Have you told mom and dad?" I ask.
"Yeah of course I have, but it doesn't help" she says.
Eminem's P.O.V.
The girls and Phoebe are all home and they are sitting in the front room because I told them that I have something to tell them.
"What's wrong Marshie?" Chloe asks me.
"Your sister Hailie is pregnant" I say.
"Hailie's pregnant?" they all say at once.
"Yep" I say happily.
"Yay!" Chloe says.
"I'm going to be an aunt" Whitney says excitedly.
"Awww that's wonderful" Phoebe says and kisses my cheek.
I smile.
"Marshie can I talk to you?" Chloe asks.
"Yeah of course sweetie, what's up?" I ask.
"Can I stop going to school?" she asks.
My heart drops.
"Chloe I thought you loved going to school" I say.
"I know but people are so mean" she says and bursts into tears.
My heart is breaking watching my little girl in so much pain.
"Oh Chloe I love you so much, you know that right?" I say while hugging her.
"I know Marshie" she says quietly.
"You're strong I know you are" I say to her.
"I will not fall, I will stand tall, feels like no one can beat me" she says quoting one of my songs.
I laugh, "have you been listening to my music?" I ask.
"Yes" she says shyly.
"Don't worry I'm not mad at you" I say reassuringly.
She smiles and says "Marshie I love you too and I wish I could be just like you."
