Chapter 64

"They have to let me stay. What if something goes wrong with Aidan? They won't know what to do and you could have Braxton Hicks contractions and-"

"Have you been reading those first time parent books again?"

He looked away. His cheeks flushing a light red.

"I couldn't sleep last night after we fought" he mumbled kicking his foot lightly against the floor. His hands shoved into the pockets of his black jeans.

"Ok no more. You turn all Dr. Styles on me and you freak yourself out. I am just going to campus to take a test. Relax babe" I kissed his cheek.

"Charlie last time you said you were going to campus, you ended up on a joyride with Gemma. Can you really blame me for being a bit skeptical?" He frowned.

"No but that was not the plan. She offered a ride and practically dragged me to the car. What was I suppose to do?"

"Hold a cross up to her forehead because Satan doesn't like Jesus?" He suggested in all seriousness.

"I really worry about you sometimes." I starred blankly at him. "Your thought process is a bit ridiculous"

"But you love me so..." He smiled sweetly while resting his chin on his hands, fluttering his eyelashes.

"That's not helping" I fought a smile.

"Can I at least drop you off? That way I know you made it safely"

"Yes" I rolled my eyes.

I hated lying to Harry. Telling him I had a make up test was the only way I was going to get him to let me leave. He pouted and asked to come with me but I lied telling him my professor wouldn't allow it.

Now that he wanted to drop me off, I knew that was the only way he would feel comfortable letting me go.

"I'm going to run to the store. Call me when your done and I will pick you up ok?"

"Ok I love you" I leaned over pecking his lips.

"I love you too" he reached up hooking his hand behind my neck. Pulling me back for a longer kiss.

"I have to go!" I laughed pulling away.

"Ok fine." He whined. "Make mama proud baby." He teased putting on a fake American accent.

"Your American accent is shit by the way" I laughed.

"Ouch babe I worked really hard on that. I guess most of you sound like cowboys or valley girls anyways" he smirked.

"Valley girls?" I raised my brow.

"I live in the valley!" He shrieked.

"Said no American ever" I shook my head laughing as I hoped out of his truck.

"Call me please" he waved pulling away from the curb.

Once he was out of sight I waved down the first taxi I saw. Thanks to his fooling around I would be lucky to make it to the hotel at 4. Then finding the room I would surly be a few minutes late.

I'll just tell him traffic was bad. Or maybe- Who cares? Why does his dad get to control everything? So what if I was going to be a few minutes late. I can't believe I was actually trying to think of a logical excuse to satisfy him. No wonder Harry had such a hard time speaking up for himself. I'd only known the man for a couple months and he already had me afraid to defy him. I leaned back in my seat. Who knew what was in store once I arrived at the hotel. I might as well relax until I get there.
