Chapter 68

I woke up to the sound of drilling. Blindly feeling for my phone on the nightstand, I tapped the home button, the bright screen causing me further distress. When my eyes finally adjusted I read the time.

7:35AM

Was Harry being serious right now?

I sat up pushing the covers off of me. Swinging my legs over the side of the bed I forced myself up. How was he awake so early? He drank way to much to be playing Bob the builder at 7am. I pulled the door open stepping into the hall. The faint sound of music playing despite the over powering hum of the drill.

Reaching for the door handle to Aidan's future room, I sighed when it was locked. I waited until the next break in drilling came before knocking. Thankfully he was only going for about 30 second before stopping.

"Harry? Babe open the door"I knocked.

I heard shuffling before the lock clicked. The door was barley opened and Harry stood blocking the view into the room.

"Yea?" He breathed.

"It's 7:30. What are you doing?" I held the bridge of my nose, the bright light from the room almost giving me an instant headache.

"I wanted to finish before your parents came." He shrugged.

"That's nice and all but couldn't you at least wait until 8?" I half teased. I couldn't read his mood. We hadn't gone to bed on the best terms and I was almost certain he never came back to the bedroom at all.

"Like I said I just wanted to finish" his dismissive attitude was harsh.

"Harry I know we fought before bed but-"

"It's no big deal. I really need to finish this before they come so.." He scratched his head.

"I know I said I was done talking about it last night, but we should probably finish the conversation. Without fighting of course." I tried to suggest.

"I'm not talking to Gemma or my dad. End of story" his clipped tone let me know that really was the end of it. I didn't want to further upset him so I nodded turning back to the bedroom. I half expected him to say something else but when I heard the door slam shut, I closed my eyes sighing.

After a quick shower I pulled on leggings and a long t-shirt. I would change to something more presentable before my parents came. I didn't like wearing jeans anymore unless I had too. Whoever said being pregnant was a beautiful eye opening experience was in denial or breeding a test tube baby. I had almost no interest in putting in effort these days. Especially on the weekends. Being pregnant was not all it's cracked up to be.

Walking down the hall I almost knocked on the door to see if he wanted any breakfast, but decided against it. As I passed the living room I noticed a mess of red hair. The body hidden by a blanket.

Ed stayed here?

I made my way to the kitchen cleaning up the random bottles on the table and counter. You would of thought we had a raging party by the mess. When I was almost done Harry entered the kitchen. Not saying anything, he pulled open the fridge grabbing a bottle of water.

"Are you hungry?" I spoke low, testing his mood again.

"Not really" He pulled out his phone. Not paying me any attention.
