~Hello my beautiful readers. I just wanted to say I love all the theories you have come up with. A few of you are definitely on the right track...lol~

Chapter 71

Taking a deep breath I knocked on the door. I could do this. It was just an apartment. It held no meaning. The fear was in me. The evil was in Liam. The apartment was merely a location where the two met. The door was pulled open and Lo half smiled.

"You came"

"Yea. I thought about changing my mind but.." I trailed off I didn't need to finish the words Lo knew.

She pulled the door open further and I stepped in. She was right, the apartment did look different. The furniture was rearranged. Niall's tv took the place of my old flat screen. The new dark curtains made the living room feel more cozy and intimate. I took notice of the Irish flag above the couch. I glanced at Lo, a small smirk playing on my lips.

"We fought a week straight about that. It ultimately came down to who won in FIFA." She said completely unenthused.

Lo was god awful at sports and even worse at video games. So combine the two and she had no chance. I'm sure Niall knew that and that's why he suggested it.

I sat on the couch, Lo sitting next to me. She was starring off as if contemplating what to say. Her eyebrows pulled together in concentration.

"So what was so important that I had to come back up here?"

She looked at me biting her lip. The sadness in her eyes screamed pity for me and I hated it.

"Don't look at me like that Lo"

"I'm sorry" she tore her eyes away from me. Rubbing her palms against her knees.

"Lo you're starting to freak me out. Please just tell me why you called me up here" I begged her. The pounding in my chest seemed to speed up with every second that past. I'm surprised she couldn't hear my heart beating.

"Shit I'm such a bad friend" she closed her eyes.

What was she talking about?

"Charlie I know we try not to keep secrets, but I thought I was protecting you, and I think I made it worse by not telling you. I just knew you had a lot going on with Aidan and-"

"Lo slow down. What are you talking about?"

The words were spewing from her mouth so fast I couldn't keep up. She was only confusing me more at this point. She stood abruptly walking from the room. I sat wondering if I was suppose to follow her. She came back seconds later with a shoe box.

"I kept all of them I don't know why."

"Lo what is going on? Why are you being so weird?"

"Just take them. Make of it what you want" she held the box out in front of me. I eyed her while taking the black box, placing it on my lap.

"What is this?"

"Just open it" she crossed her arms walking to the other side of the room.

I watched her cautiously before hooking my fingers under the lid. Not knowing what to expect, I held my breath as I lifted it. Looking up at her and back down to the contents of the box.

"You're acting like this over a box of..dead roses?" I was now really confused.

"Not just any roses Charlie. They have continued to come every week since..you know." She paused when I flinched at the reminder. "I thought maybe it was Liam being the asshole that he is. Playing out his sick game as long as he could. But even after the trial they continue to come. Then... there were notes attached."
