162 Candles - Friends?

Eve sees the room, around her, spin in slow motion. The words that Leo just said to her replaying on her mind over, and over, again. As soon as he walked out it was like a hole opened under her and she was being swallowed.

Suddenly everything became too real too quickly. He was such a calm and stable presence in her life in the last couple of months that she didn't even noticed that he was the one that has been making her feel stable in the middle of all that chaos and now, he was gone. She hadn't realized it until that moment when it hit her all at once, now she had to be the one to carry her family and herself. Alone.

She just wanted to be with her sister in that moment, her presence always had brought her comfort. She made her way to her twin bedroom knocking softly on the door.

"Come in" the muffled sound of her sister voice come from the other side

Eve open the door slightly, reveling Elena cuddle on her bed clutching onto her pillow. Eve's heart tights at the sight. She hated seeing her sister suffering and she hated even more that she was partly responsible for that

Elena seats up when she sees that was her twin at the door, her eyes lighting up with hope "Elle" she lets out

Eve gives her an awkward smile as she steps into the room "hi" she says simply

"I'm sorry" Elena says locking eyes with her sister

Eve takes a deep breath "it's okay" she lets out "this is all too much" Eve comments "the lines between right and wrong are all blurred and it's hard to know what we're suppose to do" she states and Elena nods in agreement "I guess I'm sorry too" Eve says with a shrug "for the way I reacted" she adds "I was suffering but you were suffering too" she pauses for a moment "but, I still don't agree with what you did" she clarifies

Elena nods "I understand" she states looking down

Eve sighs to tiered to discuss anything else, she just wanted a hug "now that's said" she says making Elena look up at her "can I join you? I wanna wallow as well" she pleads

Elena smiles and pushes the covers back making room for her sister. Eve smiles and jumps in next to her twin pushing the cover back up and cuddling next to Elena.

"What happened?" Elena asks

"Leo just broke up our friendship" Eve informs

Elena frowns a little surprise with that information "do you wanna talk about it?" she wonders knowing how important Leo's friendship has been to her sister in this last months.

Eve shakes her head "no" she states "how are you and Stefan?" Evangeline asks after a couple of minutes of silence

"We broke up" she declares sadly

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Eve asks in a soothing tone

"No" Elena states simply

They just stay there in a comforting silence; felling warm and safe under the covers until a knock on the door bring them back to the harsh reality.

"You guys up?" she asks walking in without expecting an answer

"No." Elena says glancing at bonnie for a second before covering her head with the covers

"And we don't intent to be anytime soon" Eve adds mimicking her sister and getting under the covers

The next thing they knew the covers were being pushed away from them

"No, no!" the twins protest holding to the covers for dear life

"Why haven't neither of you called me back?" Bonnie asks giving up and letting go of the covers
