Eve pauses for a second, holding the window handle. She didn't know why she was so eager to see him but she needed for him to be on the other side of that window. Finally Evangeline opens the window slowly getting hit by the cold breeze coming from the outside. She leans on the open window and takes a look around, her heart sinking when she doesn't see Leo anywhere

"Looking for me?" Leo's voice sounds trough the silence while we gets out of the shadows with a playful smirk on his lips

Eve purses her lips fighting a satisfied smile "no" she informs while shaking her head "I have other stalkers" she jokes

He tilts his head "not anymore" he jokes "I scared them all of" he adds with a teasing look on his face

Eve laughs at that "they'll be greatly missed" she jokes with a dramatic expression "came on in" She suggest stepping aside

Leo jumps trough the window, gracefully landing on his feet next to her, the smell of his musky cologne invading the air.

They eyes meet and everything stays silent, the tension thickening between them "Are you going to leave?" Eve breaks the silence not being able to hold her questions in anymore "it's that why we're where? To say goodbye? Because I know Stefan told Elena that he can't stay" she explains in one breath

Leo shakes his head "no" he says and Eve lets out a sigh of relive "I haven't talked to Stefan so I don't know what I'm going to do next but I promise I'll let you know" he states putting his hands on his pockets.

Eve nods the sinking feeling coming back slightly "so why did you came?" she wonders softly

Leo looks deep into Evangeline's eyes "I came because I have been unfair to you lately" he explains taking a step closer to her "I'm sorry Angel" he apologizes gently grabbing a hold of Evangeline's hand "I'm sorry for not being there for you this past month, I'm sorry for pushing you away without thinking about what you were going through. You were right I was being selfish, and I'm sorry for that" he says sincerely making Eve's heart flutter for a second "I realize that is unfair to just throw you into this whole new world and then walking away because I couldn't handle it" he adds with a hint of sadness in his voice

Eve shrugs "I was selfish too" she admits "I took you for granted and got too involved in what I needed and didn't take your feelings into consideration so, I'm sorry for that" she apologizes honestly, holding his hand tightly "I'm happy that you're here now" she says with a warm smile

He smiles down at her, gently stocking her cheek "you really have grown on me Evangeline, and I missed you" he confesses offering her a genuine smile "I have rules you know, for myself. That keep me afloat and out of troubles" he says a little more serious

Eve frowns "what type of rules?" she asks curious bringing him with her to seat on the bed

"I stay away from humans" he says firmly "I can't be a real part of their lives, it's just not possible Angel." He explains "it's just a doom relationship from the very beginning" he adds

"Do you never open an exception?" Eve asks understanding his point of view

Leo looks down for a second "I'm pretty god at staying away, I usually just maintain relationships with other vampires it's safer" he says "but there was this one human that got too me" he confesses

Eve looks at him attentively "who was that human?" she asks curious

Leo locks eyes with Eve again "Her name was Cecile"
