(F/n) sat in class, her pen tapping silently on her desk so it wouldn't become a nuisance to anyone around. It was nearly lunchtime, and she was ready to get up and go outside.

She placed her chin in her hand, listening to the chalk scratching in the blackboard as the teacher wrote some things down. Her bruise throbbed, making her uncomfortable.

Luckily, she was the top of her English class, so she didn't have to listen much. She'd moved off to Canada in junior high due to her dad getting a job there, so she knew an exceptional amount of english. She'd moved back because her parents thought there were better opportunities here, which she was thankful for.

(F/n) began copying down the sentence the teacher wrote, translating it easily, and gazed out the window with a small sigh. She could see that it was going to rain, which would be annoying due to her not having an umbrella. She was probably able to get a ride home from Iha, or possibly Hana, but she wasn't too sure.

"(L/n)-chan." One of her classmates tapped her shoulder, and she turned to look back at her.

"Can you help me translate this? I'm having trouble." She scratched the back of her head, and the volleyball captain grinned and nodded.

"Okay, so you used the wrong 'there'. It's supposed to be 'their', as in a possessive thing. Like it's 'their ball' or 'their dog. Y'know?"

"Ah! Right, I always mix that up." Her classmate nodded, writing down some notes.

"And you forgot to put plural. There are multiple apples. Not just one."

"Oh, right." The girl nodded, rewriting her sentence.

"Iwa-chan, do you think (F/n)-chan would eat lunch with us if I asked?" Oikawa was looking down at his paper, which had multiple versions of the sentence they were supposed to translate scratched down. Right now, he was tapping his bottom lip with his pencil thoughtfully.

"Didn't she ask you to call her (L/n)?"

"Iwa-chan!"

Iwaizumi smacked the back of the setters head. "I don't care. Get to work, Trashikawa!"

"Ow! Iwa-chan!" Oikawa hissed. "And I am working! I was just wondering–"

"She probably already has plans. Satisfied?" Iwaizumi glared at him before writing down another possible translation for the sentence.

"No!" The setter huffed, placing his chin in his hand and pouting a little. "What would she have planned, anyway?"

"Going out with Hana-chan or studying with Tengan-san and Iha-chan." Iwaizumi sighed. "Something far away from you."

Oikawa folded his arms. "That's unfair. What did I even do to her?"

Before the ace could answer, the bell rang, and people began putting their things away and filing out of the classroom to their lockers. Oikawa quickly stood up, heading over to
(F/n)'s table.

"(F/n)-chan! Come eat lunch with us!" Oikawa basically demanded. The female ace leaned to the side a bit to look over at her cousin, who just sighed and shook his head.

(F/n) was slightly amused by Hajime's disappointment with his captain, but held back her smile. "Sorry, Oikawa-san, but I'm going out with Hana." She stood up, and began shutting her textbooks and notebook, filing them into her bag.

"Ah–what?" The setter looked slightly upset.

"Yeah, Trash King. Stop stealing my girlfriend." Hana's joking voice came from the doorway. She leaned against its frame with two lunch bags in her hands.

(F/n) blew Hana a kiss to further the teasings ridiculousness, before weaving around the boy and heading over to her friend, taking one of the lunch bags before disappearing from the room along with Hana.

"Does she just not like me?" Oikawa whined, walking after Iwaizumi who was currently heading out of the room.

"Nobody likes you." Iwsizumi said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"SO RUDE!" The setter screeched. Surprisingly, a few girls seemed to swoon at the sound of his voice.

Iwaizumi rolled his eyes. "You're pathetic."

"HEY!"

"Oikawa-san, tone it down." Tengan muttered while walking past the two bickering volleyball players.

Iha and Arata Chino, the only third year middle blocker on (F/n)'s team, followed closely after her. "I agree with Tengan. You're giving me a headache." Arata complained as she passed.

"Sorry, Oikawa-kun." Iha gave him an apologetic smile before following after her two teammates. This earned a harsh scolding from them.

"What's their problem?" Oikawa huffed.

"You."

"That's unfair!"

Moto-chan slipped past the two boys as they made it to their lockers. "It's totally fair, Oikawa-san."
