He saw the girl sitting in the hallway, her chin placed on her knees whilst she stared out the window dully. Oikawa was relieved that she wasn't crying.

"(F/n)-chan?" He walked over to her, stuffing his hands in his pockets. She took a deep breath and sighed.

"I know." She muttered. "I abandoned my team. I feel horrible. I'm a horrible captain." She buried her face in her knees, pulling her hood over her head so she was one big turquoise and white ball.

The setter frowned, and sat down beside her. "What makes you think that? You rule the court, (F/n)-chan. Your emotions are their emotions. Leaving the gym was a perfectly okay thing to do."

"I'm glad you're telling me this, Oikawa-san." She mumbled dryly, and the male captain huffed.

"Um... why did you leave?"

"Pre-game anxiety." She dug her fingers into the fabric of her hood. "I get it every time before a really big game. Actually, every big thing. I'm just anxious."

"Why?" Oikawa was, of course, getting more and more curious. She was a complete monster on the competitive court, and an overall brilliant captain. Even better than him.

"I dunno." Her fingers relaxed, and she wrapped her arms around the top of her knees. "It's just.... like that."

The two sat in silence for awhile, then Oikawa spoke up. "Will you continue to practice with my team?"

She poked her eyes over her arms, which the brown eyed boy thought was a little cute. "What?"

"Will you practice. With my team." Oikawa repeated, looking almost desperate, turning himself to face her.

She blinked at him. "Uh... yes?"

Relief washed over the setters face, and he pulled her into a hug. To his surprise, (F/n) hugged back. He let out a dramatic gasp, pulling away but grabbing her shoulders.

"U-uh..?"

"You hugged me back, (F/n)-chan." He said.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

The female ace looked a little confused, then she sighed. "I should go back to practice. Um..." She sucked in a deep breath. "Thanks, I guess, for, uh.... being concerned and joining me here. I appreciate it. I guess."

With that, she stood up and quickly disappeared back into the gymnasium. Oikawa had to hold himself back from shrieking.

He sat there, running what had just happened through his head. She'd thanked him. She'd hugged him. What more could he want? (Other than be in a relationship with her of course.)

It took him awhile to head back to his friends, and when he did, they all gave him confused looks. The female ace came back as if nothing happened, and everyone else treated it like nothing happened.

Tengan managed to catch Oikawa's eye and gave him an 'ok' symbol with her hands. Iha gave him a wave and Hana gave him a reluctant but thankful nod.

"They're being nice to you. What did you do?" Iwaizumi asked his captain, who was looking smug.

Oikawa just shrugged. "I talked to her. She hugged me."

"She did what now?" Makki leaned away from his classmate with a confused look.

Oikawa nodded with a grin. His excitement seemed to be pouring out of him. "Yep!" He nodded. "She hugged me."

"What did you say to her?" Matsun asked.

"I think she'd kill me if I told anyone."
