(Reader and Bucky pre-CATFA)
You and Bucky had been going on for ages. Steve even rolled his eyes whenever you two were cuddly around him. When Bucky was drafted, you cried even after Bucky left.
"He'll be safe, (y/n), I know he will", said Steve.
When Steve volunteered for the experiment, you were surprised to see the transformation. "Bring him home safe to me, ok Stevie?", you say.
After Steve left, Bucky wrote letters, saying how mad he was what Steve had done, but he was glad to have his best friend fighting side by side with him. You even wrote to him about the son you just gave birth whom you name James.
One day, someone knocked on your door. A woman with curly brown hair. "My name is Agent Peggy Carter and I'm one of Steve's friend", she said as she handed a letter.
It said Bucky died in the line of duty and you fell on your knees, crying. Peggy helped you up and helped you to the couch.
"Where's Steve?", you asked.
"He didn't made it either. I'm so sorry", said Peggy. Peggy held you as you cried in her arms.
