(Sebastian and Reader celebrate Valentine's Day)
Sebastian waited at the restaurant. The time ticked and the text went unanswered.
The two of you had been planning this dinner since earlier this year. You two knew you and him would be busy, so decided on this dinner on Valentine's Day.
Sebastian felt slightly embarrassed that you were late. That was, until he received that phone call.
You woke up, pain were throbbing everywhere. The last thing you'd remember was hitting the brakes when the car came crashing in and then, blacking out.
"Hey...", you turned to see Sebastian looking all worried with his eyes red.
"What happened?", you asked.
Apparently, the car was switching lanes to cut the truck in front of it and hit the brakes so suddenly that you didn't have the time to avoid it. Your bike hit the car and you were flung forward.
"I'm sorry. You must've been waiting at the restaurant for hours", you said.
"It's ok. You're safe is what matters now. We can always reschedule dinner", he said.
"I brought you something, but it was in the bike", you said.
"Yeah, they handed it to me. A bit mangled up, but I like it. Thank you", he said.
Sebastian pulled out his gift. "Happy Valentine's Day", he handed you a small box.
He helped you opened the gift as one of your hands was bounded with a cast. It was an oversize cotton scarf.
"I love it. Thank you", you said with a weak smile.
Sebastian covered you with that scarf and slid under it with you next to him. He kissed you and held you close, despite the small hospital bed.
