Post Endgame

You and Shuri were best friends since childhood. One day, she decided to show you something.

"Look what T'Challa brought in", she pointed to the cryotube.

In it, a man was sleeping. He had one arm, a few days worth of stubble and almost shoulder length hair. You asked Shuri what happened and she told you what T'Challa said.

"So, my job is to try and reverse what Hydra did and you are going to help me", said Shuri.

You aided Shuri in helping the man, who told you his name as Bucky. It was hard at first, but it was worth the wait.

Bucky settled in a hut not far from your home. You'd often cook for him and help him with some cleaning. People had taken to themselves to call Bucky "White Wolf".

Bucky slowly opened up to you. He told you all the things Hydra made him do. He would tell you the nightmares and the regret that washed over him.

There was this feeling you don't quite understand whenever you see him. Bucky sometimes left small tokens of thank you to you, like daisies and origamis. Bucky, too, felt something, but he was afraid.

That day came when T'Challa and Okoye arrived to his hut. You've been hearing about this alien that came to Earth to gather, what Shuri told you, the Infinity Stones.

Bucky knew it was hard for you to watch him go. He held your hand with his right human hand.

"It's gonna be alright", said Bucky.

"What if it isn't?", you asked.

The way you two looked at each other, you wanna tell him, but the words just won't come out. He kissed your hand and walked out with Okoye.

It felt like forever..., until Shuri suddenly..., turned to dust. You tried to grab her, but it was too late. You looked outside and half of the army was gone.

Okoye and Captain America brought the bad news and you broke down and cried. The captain promised you to bring him back.

You waited with Queen Mother Ramonda and Okoye. You tried to move on, but it was hard.

Five years gone by. It was just another day when suddenly, you saw particles flying around. You turned to see Shuri.

"Where were you?!!", you hugged your friend.

"I have no idea", said Shuri.

If Shuri is here, then..., Bucky! He has to be alive! You ran out with Shuri to see those who had vanished, returned safe.

You saw Bucky and ran to him. He caught you in his arms, relieved washed over him.

"I love you, Bucky", you whispered.

"I know. I love you too", he said.

Once again, he let you go to fight the last battle. This time, he came back to you and you're glad he was safe at last.
